Thomas remained polite and courteous. “Hello, Johanna.”

“Thank you,” Thomas replied.

Victoria turned to greet Sharon and Theo. “Hello, Sharon and Theo.”

Sharon nodded lightly, while Theo ran up to Victoria, eyes sparkling with delight. “Aunt Victoria! You’re here too?”

Victoria noticed the car model in his hands and smiled. “How’s your shooting practice going, Theo?”

Theo looked sheepish. “Not very well… Thomas has only practiced a few times, and he’s already better than me. I’m really too clumsy.”

Victoria’s gaze casually swept over Thomas and quickly moved on. Just as she was about to speak, a familiar figure appeared in the crowd.

Her eyes widened. “Carter?”

She had assumed it would be just Sharon and Thomas, with Thomas accompanying them. She hadn’t expected Carter to be here as well.

Carter’s expression was dark. He walked forward silently, taking a bow and arrows from a nearby staff member without a word.

Theo’s eyes widened. “Daddy, are you going to win a prize too?”

Carter nodded slightly, cast a sharp glance at Thomas, and then drew his bow.

Victoria noticed the perfection of Carter’s posture with the bow-it was flawless.

Carter handed one of the second-place prizes to Theo. “There are many things I can do, you just don’t know yet.”

Theo’s eyes lit up even more. Boys were easily impressed by their fathers, especially when their dads were genuinely talented.

Carter handed the remaining two prizes to Sharon. “These are for you.”

The moment Carter appeared, anyone who had mistakenly assumed Thomas was Theo’s father immediately realized the truth.

“Oh? He’s the kid’s dad? No wonder they look so alike! He must be the boy’s biological father.”
