Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 785

Chapter 785

It wasn’t that Sharon’s group had performed poorly-quite the opposite.

“Sharon is incredible! To think her skill is on par with a virtuoso like Harry!”

“Maestro Warner brought in Harry specifically to lend prestige to Kelly, even if it meant lowering his own standing. And yet, despite both teams receiving perfect scores, Kelly still couldn’t ultimately surpass Sharon.”

“I truly don’t understand what Maestro Warner was thinking. Given the choice between Kelly and Sharon, how could he possibly have chosen Kelly as his student?”

“Exactly. In terms of raw talent, stage presence, composure, and sheer ability-how does Kelly even begin to compare to Sharon?”

One of the judges spoke up.

“Our scoring is guided by fairness and impartiality. This is a team competition, and Sharon and John’s duet demonstrated flawless synergy. Every passage was handled with perfection. If anyone questions our judgment, the performance video can be submitted to the world’s most authoritative adjudication panel.”

Maestro Warner and his students looked grim. As top-tier musicians, they knew the judges were right-there had been no

favoritism. Sharon’s team had indeed earned a perfect score.

The host then invited the earlier competitors back on stage and began announcing the scores and totals.

Harry’s expression was icy. A tie was not the result he had envisioned.

Gripping the microphone, the host proclaimed with booming enthusiasm, “In second place for now-Miss Kelly! And finally, the reigning champion who remains undefeated is-”

“Wait.”

A sharp voice cut him off mid-sentence.

The host froze, turning toward Harry. “Harry, do you have something to add?”

Harry stepped forward and declared loudly, “Backstage, Sharon and I made a wager on the outcome of this match. Therefore, this competition cannot end in a tie. A winner must be chosen. I formally request the judges to declare one.”

John’s face darkened. “Despicable!”

By announcing their private wager publicly, Harry had severed all of Sharon’s escape routes, leaving her no chance to refuse. He wanted the entire world to know-if Sharon lost, she would have to leave the music world forever, forbidden from ever touching

the violin again. 1

The host, stunned, stammered, “A wager? What wager?”

Harry lifted his chin. “If I lost, I promised to apologize to Sharon’s late mother and John, then bark like a dog.”

The host pressed, “And if Sharon loses?”

chaish?

A sinister smile spread across Harry’s face. “If Sharon loses, she will never play the violin again… for the rest of her life.”

The declaration detonated across the hall like a bomb.

The judges on stage were the first to react.

“Harry,” one of them said sharply, “this is a competition, not a gambling den. Whatever wagers you make in private are your business, but we will not allow this stage to become your betting table.”

Harry cast him a cold glance. “What’s the matter? Afraid Sharon will lose, and your country will be left without a representative for future competitions?”

The judge faltered, his expression stiffening. Because yes-he had been thinking that. Their country had finally produced such a rare violin genius. They could not allow Harry to destroy her so recklessly.

Harry pressed on. “A bet is a bet, and Sharon agreed to it herself. Do you need me to play the video of our conversation in front of everyone, right here and now?” 1
