Chapter 800
Maestro Warner let out a heavy sigh, and for a fleeting moment, he seemed ten years older.
“So many eyes are watching me now. If I expel Kelly at a time like this, who knows how they’ll twist it… This matter needs careful, long-term consideration.”
No one spoke further.
Sharon’s flawless performance of the high-difficulty piece Gaze blew everyone away. It was clear that her championship win was all but guaranteed.
The video of Sharon defeating Harry went viral online. Invitations to music exchanges and festivals arrived like falling snow, so many that Wendy’s hands grew sore from handling them.
Tickets for Sharon’s concerts, as well as the competition itself, sold out instantly. Wendy, electrified with excitement, worked late into the night without fatigue, as if powered by pure adrenaline.
“Sharon, now we’re truly famous! Even if Kelly had Carter helping her and Warner paving the way, what good would it have done? No one mentions her anymore. When they do, it’s only to mock Warner’s poor judgment.”
Wendy could sense that Sharon had reached the peak of her career.
But with Sharon preparing for her concert, Wendy pushed away all unnecessary commercial performances, letting her focus entirely on rehearsal.
Scrolling through the news, Wendy said, “The consensus online is that the international championship is practically yours for the taking. Once you performed Gaze at that level, no one else stands a chance.”
For a so-called “newcomer,” Sharon’s skill had already surpassed Harry’s, capturing the attention of the global music community. It was nothing short of extraordinary.
Sharon smiled modestly. “I have to admit, I performed exceptionally well this time. Reaching that state is rare-it’s not something I can summon for every performance. I might not be able to top that the next time
around.”
Wendy waved a hand dismissively. “Even if your form fluctuates, as long as you don’t try to transpose Gaze up a key again, you’ll still perform it flawlessly. Sharon, don’t be so hard on yourself-you’re already incredible.”
Sharon smiled as she changed the water in the vase on the table.
Wendy glanced at the bouquet of baby’s breath in her hands. “This is so pretty. Thomas really put thought into it.”
She sighed. “You were married to Carter for five years, and he never knew you liked baby’s breath. Thomas has only been around a short time, and he already knows your preferences.”
Sharon paused mid-motion, filling the vase. “You didn’t tell Thomas to get these for me?”

“No,” Wendy shook her head. “I did want to arrange flowers for you, but right before you defeated Harry, my phone was blowing up. I had no time to make arrangements. And I never told him that you liked baby’s breath.”
Sharon lowered her gaze to the delicate blooms. Their faint, sweet scent lingered at her nose, refreshing and soothing.
She looked around. “Where’s Thomas?”
Wendy explained, “Lately, he’s been taking a lot of time off, and he’s been very secretive about it. No one knows what he’s up to-whether he’s working on recovering his memories, or maybe he has a girlfriend
. now.”
Sharon considered this for a moment. “Increase his salary starting tomorrow. If he does have a girlfriend now, his expenses will be higher than usual. Let’s give him a little extra so she won’t think he’s being stingy.
Wendy gave an “OK” gesture. “Consider it done.”
Thomas was exceptionally considerate and capable. He could even handle the occasional task of
reprimanding a troublesome ex-husband while assisting her seamlessly. She certainly didn’t see raising his salary as any kind of loss.

One splash of water was enough to wake Harry up.
