Chapter 802
Just as he had wished upon Sharon, Harry now endured inhuman torment.
His face was ruined beyond recognition, his hands crippled, his dignity stripped away. They had even violated him and filmed every second of it.
Shame and fury twisted his heart until he longed for death, yet the courage to end his life never came.
When it was finally over, he collapsed like a gutted fish, sprawled on the ground, staring blankly at the ceiling.
A face-handsome, elegant, flawless-drifted into his blurred vision. The man’s lips curved with a gentle smile, harmless as the boy next door. No one would guess such cruelty and ruthlessness hid beneath that sunny facade.
Harry’s gaze dropped to his mangled hands. The tendons had been severed. To ensure they could never heal, his fingers had been hacked away one by one. He would never hold a violin again. 11
His career-his genius-was destroyed forever.
A hoarse murmur escaped Harry’s lips. “Was it Sharon who sent you?”
The young man shook his head.
“Harry, you overestimate yourself. You’re nothing more than Sharon’s defeated opponent. Why would I waste effort on someone who could never surpass her in the first place?”
Harry’s bloodshot eyes flared with sudden rage.
“If not Sharon, then who are you? Why are you doing this to me?! Don’t you know how many powerful people I know? You won’t escape the consequences!”
The young man chuckled indifferently.
“Your wagers with Sharon aren’t my concern. But what you should never have done-what you can never be forgiven for-was forcing her into a bet where losing meant she would vanish from the stage.”
He rubbed his temple with casual ease, though his eyes gleamed with a killing intent that froze the blood.
“And you-what are you, exactly-that you dare to strip her of the right to perform?”
Harry’s blazing anger iced over in an instant. Fear crept into his eyes. He had nearly forgotten-this man
was a monster.
“But… she didn’t have to quit in the end…” Harry stammered.
The young man’s reply was flat. “No, she didn’t. But I don’t allow threats that could force her out of the industry.”
He looked down at Harry and smiled faintly.
“Harry, you’ve always liked to put down geniuses before they make it big. Well, I’m the same. I like to eliminate danger before it has the chance to grow. So I’m afraid this time, you’ll have to be the sacrifice.”

As if reminded of something, he gave a small, regretful shake of the head. “Harry, you should count yourself lucky this is a land ruled by law. That’s the only reason you’re still breathing. If this had happened where I come from…”
He let the words trail off, the implication sharp enough to carve bone.
A shudder ran through Harry’s battered frame.
The young man cast Harry one last glance, then turned toward the door. At the threshold, he paused, looking back over his shoulder.
“By the way, my name is Thomas Ferrero. You’re welcome to send your powerful friends after me anytime.”
…
News of Harry’s injuries hit the trending list within hours.
When Wendy saw the headline, she froze, staring blankly at the screen. For some reason, Thomas’s words surfaced unbidden in her mind.
Moments later, Sharon walked through the door and found Wendy lost in thought.
“What are you thinking about? You’re completely dazed.”
Wendy blinked back to herself, hesitating before asking, “Sharon… did you see the news about Harry?”
“I did.” Sharon lifted a cup and took a sip of water. “Harry offended too many people and flaunted himself too openly. Now that his reputation has collapsed, plenty are eager to kick him while he’s down. They’re saying this time, he finally faced retaliation.”
Wendy hesitated for a long while before steeling herself.
“Sharon… when you were competing against Harry, Thomas said something to me…’
