Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 842

Chapter 842

Johanna didn’t so much as blink. “No problem.”

For the Walton family, arranging the release of someone like Kelly was hardly an effort. 1

Satisfied at last, Kelly asked, “What is it you want to know?”

Half an hour later, Johanna walked out of the prison with a look of quiet satisfaction.

Before leaving, she had told Kelly, “The day after tomorrow, my people will come to get you out.

Kelly had smiled sweetly. “Thanks. If you ever have more questions, feel free to ask me anytime.”

But once Johanna’s figure disappeared from view, a shadow crossed Kelly’s expression. Her lips curled into a cold, sinister smile.

So, she couldn’t remember the details from back then? Perfect.

Even if Johanna really was the woman Thomas had been searching for, Kelly would find a way to make her look like she wasn’t. As long as Thomas began to doubt Johanna-believing she was an impostor-then Kelly could still regain his trust.

Of course, lying was an art. She had to be careful not to let Johanna catch the cracks too easily.

Outside the prison, Victoria said, “Johanna, we can’t take everything Kelly says at face value.”

Johanna nodded. “Don’t worry. I know how to separate truth from lies. She might twist the details, but she wouldn’t dare tamper with the core of the story.”

Victoria asked, “By the way, why didn’t you ask her directly about Thomas’s true identity?”

Johanna’s lips curved. “Learning too early spoils the game. I want to uncover his identity myself.”

Victoria chuckled. “You’re still so cheeky.”

That reminded Johanna of something. “Oh, Victoria, once my brother completely resolves the family matters,

he said he’ll come see you. He’s also acquired a remarkable painting, and he wants to bring it for you to admire together.”

Victoria smiled. “That would be wonderful. It’s been so long since I last saw your brother.”
