Chapter 913
Julliard was a man, and at times, caring for him placed Sharon and Wendy in an awkward position.

Sensing their discomfort, he hired two professional caregivers. Most of the daily care fell to them. Sharon, however, insisted on managing his meals herself, cooking and preparing nourishing dishes. When she was occupied, Wendy kept watch over him.
That day, Julliard’s assistant arrived to deliver a work report. He had already been hospitalized for a week, and business matters could no longer be delayed.
Understanding the situation, Wendy tactfully excused herself. “I’ll go check on Sharon.”
To make things easier, the hospital had even provided Sharon with a small private kitchen so she wouldn’t have to run back and forth.
Once Wendy left, the assistant briefed him on company affairs. When he finished, he glanced toward the doorway. Seeing the bodyguards standing guard, he lowered his voice.
“Word from Amstern City–rumors say Mr. Biggs may be showing signs of waking.”
Julliard’s brows knit sharply.
“Tell the medical team to find a way to keep Carter unconscious a while longer.”
After all, the team caring for Carter had been handpicked by Julliard himself. Carter’s prolonged “coma” was his doing. (1)
The assistant hesitated before continuing.
“Carter’s assistant, Simon, seems suspicious. He’s been tracking the movements of people close to Mr. Biggs- particularly Nate. He hasn’t suspected you yet, sir, but if Simon appeals to Sharon and she asks Uriah to intervene, the truth could easily come out.” 1
Julliard thought for a long moment before responding.
“Half a month. At least keep him under for another half month.”
The assistant nodded and was about to leave when Julliard called him back.
“And the assassins? Were they handled properly?”
The assistant’s voice dropped lower. “Everything’s clean. Even if Carter wakes, he won’t be able to trace a thing.

Carter’s name carried weight in Amstern City. But Julliard’s true strength was no less formidable–he simply kept it buried deep. Not even Carter or Nate knew the full extent of it.
A faint smile curved Julliard’s lips.
With this “debt of life” between them, his place in Sharon’s heart might well rival Carter’s now.

Meanwhile, in the small kitchen, Sharon was carefully simmering medicinal soup.
Wendy walked in. “Sharon, let me help.”
