Chapter 938
Julliard could no longer suppress the violence seething inside him. He drove another punch forward. His wounds tore open with the force, and blood soaked through his clothes. 1
Lex was no pushover. He swung back, meeting fist with fist.
The bodyguards rushed in at once, shielding Julliard.
A vicious, cold gleam lit his eyes.
“Bind him,” he ordered flatly. “Let’s see which is tougher-his tongue or my fists.”
The meaning was unmistakable-he intended to use torture.
Lex’s face darkened. “You dare? Julliard, open your eyes. I’m not someone you can lay hands on at will!”
Julliard’s handsome face froze into glacial calm. “And was Sharon someone you could lay hands on at will?”
At that, Lex studied Julliard’s expression, then suddenly smiled mockingly.
“You’re getting so worked up over Sharon… Don’t tell me, you actually like that whore?” 1)
Both Julliard’s and Xavier’s faces went cold in unison.
Julliard didn’t waste words. He glanced at a guard.
“His mouth stinks. Slap it shut.”
He already knew-from the men tailing Xavier-that the blood in that villa was Sharon’s.
She was hurt.
The thought scorched his chest like fire. Pain, fury, and desperation tangled until he could barely breathe. At this moment, he cared for nothing else. He would drag her whereabouts from Lex’s lips-by any means.
Xavier stood impassive, making no move to stop it.
Even if Julliard didn’t act, he himself, would have. Offending the Malcolm family patriarch was a trivial concern compared to Sharon’s life.
Julliard’s bodyguards were all elite, the kind who answered only to him. They didn’t care whose heir Lex was.
One guard stepped forward and struck with iron-like force.
Lex’s head snapped sideways. A tooth flew, blood spraying from his lips. For a long moment, he was dazed.
Then Xavier’s icy voice cut through the silence above him.
“Lex, where is Sharon? Will you tell us now? You’re an intelligent man. You must understand-this is Listoria City. Killing you here would be effortless. Your phone isn’t on you, and even if someone investigates later, there’ll be nothing to trace.
“The last man you met was Jamie. You and he are rivals in love. If he silenced you to cover his tracks, who would question it?”
He paused, his eyes curving with a smile that chilled to the bone, coaxing yet merciless.
“Lex, you and Jamie are hardly friends. For someone irrelevant to you, why throw your life away?”
The goal was not Lex’s death-it was Sharon’s location.
