Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 945

Chapter 945

Julliard couldn’t kill Lex-not yet. Lex had to be kept alive, so he could be broken slowly, piece by piece.

The next morning, Sharon’s surgery was swiftly arranged.

Just before entering the operating room, a thought struck her.

“By the way… who brought me to the hospital?”

Wendy replied, “A passerby happened to see you. Thankfully, they rushed you here in time. You hadn’t lost too much blood; otherwise, your life would have been at serious risk.”

Sharon gave a faint nod, then asked, “Were they thanked properly?”

Wendy smiled. “Yes. Xavier gave them a large sum as gratitude.”

“Thank Xavier for me.”

“I will.”

At that moment, a knock came at the door, and Uriah walked in.

“Sharon, don’t be nervous. The risks with this surgery are very low. I’ll do everything in my power to heal your hand.”

Sharon nodded. “Thank you, Uriah. It’s already such trouble for you to come here personally on my behalf.”

Uriah shook his head. “Even if you were just another patient, I would still give my utmost to save you.”

After a few more words of reassurance, the medical staff wheeled Sharon into the operating room.

Outside, Carter, Xavier, Julliard, and Wendy waited in tense silence.

The surgery stretched on and on. Morning bled into afternoon, and the daylight slowly dimmed into night.

Finally, the light above the operating room door went dark. Everyone rushed forward.

Uriah emerged, weary but steady. It had been years since he’d endured such a long operation. Age weighed on him heavily now, and if it hadn’t been for Sharon, he never would have personally taken up the scalpel again.

“The surgery went smoothly,” he said, removing his mask. Fatigue etched deep lines across his face. “But as I told you before, if Sharon wishes to play the violin again, it will be… very difficult.”

Wendy’s eyes dimmed, sorrow shadowing her expression.

Carter and the others also looked crestfallen. They had known this would be the outcome, yet a small, stubborn hope had lingered in their hearts-that a miracle might still happen.

Still, saving Sharon’s hand at all was already a blessing.

Moments later, she was wheeled out.

Sharon lay quietly on the bed, eyes closed, lips pale, her cheeks still bearing traces of swelling that had not yet faded.

Julliard’s chest tightened painfully. A murderous urge surged through him.

“This is all Lex and Jamie’s fault!’ he seethed inwardly.

In a hoarse voice, he muttered, “I still have some work to handle. I’ll be leaving for now.”

No one paid him much attention at that moment.

He cast one last, heavy look at Sharon before turning away and leaving

Sharon stirred once in the middle of the night, only to drift back to sleep soon after.

By the time she woke again, the morning sun was already bright outside.

Wendy sat beside her bed, absorbed in something on her phone. She was so focused that she didn’t notice Sharon was awake.

Sharon called softly, “Wendy.”

Wendy snapped back to herself and turned quickly, her eyes brightening.
