The next day, Diamond opened her eyes groggily as she yawned. She stretched her body after a long night and just wanted to get herself refreshed and be energetic once more.

Waking up sloppily from the comfortable bed she was starting to love very much, she climbed down the bed wearing a short silk nightgown, very smooth to the skin.

She wore the slippers on the fur carpet and began to make her way toward the bathroom with half-opened eyes.

As she made her way to the bathroom, Andrea greeted her.

Hearing Andrea’s voice, Diamond couldn’t help but smile, her sleepiness slowly fading, "hey, Andrea. Is everything okay?"

[Everything is fine. It’s just that you have a few missed calls. Do you want to return them now?]

Upon hearing that, Diamond, who was already in the bathroom, pondered for a bit before answering, "No, I will return the calls later," as she took out her toothbrush from the small cup.

Kian also sent her a message, and he was just worried about whether she was okay or not.

Honestly, Diamond was expecting to hook up with the man after a few drinks, but who would have guessed that something awful would happen that made that dream impossible?

In the end, Diamond was forced to go back home alone after dropping an apologetic Kian at the hotel.

Since it couldn’t be helped, Diamond had no way of changing what had already happened.

And since the man had promised to come to her in the future, she felt soothed, and that was better than nothing.

Diamond also listened to Andrea reading her emails, which were mainly from her subordinates who were reporting about the affairs of the business.

It was good that she would be returning to Frin, as she would be able to monitor the progress on the ground rather than through virtual means.

Diamond cleaned herself without a rush, and when she was done, she changed into something casual and loose.

It was already around one in the afternoon, and she was starving and needed to replenish her energy.

And since she had never bothered to buy groceries when she came to Srad, she couldn’t eat any food inside the house. So, the only choice for her was either to go to the restaurant or have some food outside.

Going outside at that time was impossible, for she was too hungry to go anywhere. However, she was also planning on touring Srad for the last time before leaving, so she might as well just go outside.

She picked up her handbag and checked that everything was in order before she left the penthouse with a smile on her face.

Her obsession with seeing the young wife living in the opposite penthouse was still not over. However, at that moment, her hunger was ruling her and so her curiosity towards the other was low.

She took the elevator down and unlike the other times, she didn’t share it with anyone.

When she arrived at the restaurant, Diamond walked in with ease and wasn’t surprised by the sheer number of people having their lunch inside.

As always, the other sounded very gentlemanly and just the way that she liked it. She couldn’t help but smile as several thoughts filled her mind.

"I am faring well. Is everything okay on your side?" she asked as she recalled how everything went down the drain previously because Kian received an emergency call back then.

[It’s being solved but there isn’t much to worry about!] he answered.

Diamond’s brows rose upon hearing that. She could sense that the other was hiding something from her, but who was she to ask if the other didn’t want to be straightforward with her?

"That’s good then. Just take care of yourself!" she emphasized, seeing that there wasn’t much that she could say in that kind of situation.

[So, um, are you still leaving tomorrow?] Kian asked her.

Diamond as she drove her car, couldn’t help but smile as she responded, "Yes, I will be leaving in the morning. I have spent too many days being away from home."

[Oh! Then if umm, if I want to visit you, may I come?" Sounding very unsure, Kian asked.

A victorious smile suddenly hung on her face as she answered, "Who am I to stop you? If you want to come, then I will welcome you with open arms!"

Why would she stop him from coming to her when she was that dead curious to see what Kian would do in the future?

Besides, after spending some time with him in the past few days, she knew very well that she indeed liked him.

And since an opportunity had presented itself to her, then she was going to take it.

If things failed, then she would start from there.
