Kyle wore his heavy armor and jumped into the Deepwind.
As soon as he entered, he felt his body being rapidly pulled by the current.
After adapting to the speed and current, he simply drifted with the current.
Deepwind didn't have any corrosive properties. The damage it caused came from pure force and friction.
As long as he went with the Deepwind, the damage was minimal.
Kyle had planned to escape in the Deepwind instead of simply digging through the stone because of the Winterfire Empire's Transcendents.
There was a possibility that they were waiting around the World Peak, focusing on the ground to check for vibrations of digging.
Could they feel someone digging through the ground at a depth of almost 70 kilometers?
Probably not, but Kyle wanted to make sure.
As Kyle shot through the underground, he looked at the ceiling above him.
'Reminds me of these crazy people that dive into a hole in a frozen lake and pop out in another hole. That shit is terrifying.'
"Everything alright?" Sebastian's voice appeared in Kyle's mind.
Kyle glanced at his shoulder.
At this moment, Sebastian was between two huge metal plates on Kyle's back.
In essence, he had been integrated as a layer of Kyle's armor.
"Yep," Kyle transmitted back. "The current is pretty slow, and I don't want to surface too soon. Might take us a couple of hours."
"Okay, just tell me if anything is out of place," Sebastian transmitted.
"Sure."
Kyle was swept towards the east by the current.
From time to time, he had to redirect his trajectory since the Deepwind was pulling him downwards.
Luckily, the damage to his armor was almost non-existent since it was made of the perfect Rank S Materials.
While Kyle was being swept away, he also focused on understanding how Deepwind worked.
However, he quickly realized that there was no point in trying to understand it.
The way its Ether worked was chaotic, messy, and random.
Of course, there was an actual logic behind its workings, but the fact that it looked messy just meant that Kyle's brain wasn't fast enough to decipher it.
Well, maybe his brain was fast enough, but it would still take forever to understand it, and he had better things to look at.
First, he wanted to finish comprehending all of metal's properties.
Then, he would take a look at wind.
After that, he would take a look at fire.
Finally, when he got to that point, he could maybe take a look at Deepwind.
For now, Deepwind had to wait. A couple of hours passed.
'We should be beneath the Grand Ocean by now,' Kyle thought. 'Just a couple more minutes, and it should be safe to resurface.'
But then, Kyle noticed something.
The Ether in the direction in which he was going seemed very strange and chaotic.
As he focused on it, he realized a couple of things.
First of all, the Ether had a lot of heat. In fact, it was way hotter than magma.
Second, the Ether had a solid structure, which meant that something solid was there.
Third, there was no Wind, Fire, or Metal Ether there, which was quite surprising.
After all, this was still the domain of Deepwind, and Deepwind contained a lot of Wind Ether.
On top of that, something that was this hot should include some Fire Ether, but it didn't.
"It's going to get a bit hot now," Kyle transmitted.
