Everyone turned to stare at Lu Shijin.

However, Lu Shijin ignored the stares he had attracted and focused all his attention solely on Tang Ruochu, who was in his arms. His voice sounded soft and masculine as he asked, "Are you all right?"

"Yes... I'm fine, thanks!" Tang Ruochu whispered as she shook her head.

She finally started to recover from her shock but she still looked a little shaken.

Lu Shijin let out a secret sigh of relief. He helped her up and only let go of her after she was steady on her feet. "You should be more careful next time," he added.

"Yes," Tang Ruochu said as she nodded.

She couldn't help stealing a glance at him as though she was curious to know what he was doing in her office.

Lu Shijin didn't say anything else and acted as though they were complete strangers. He looked away calmly and shot a look at the Chairman of Times Entertainment before he said with a note of disapproval, "Mr. Zhao, is your office always so full of 'drama'?"

Mr. Zhao's face had turned pale and it was clear that he had witnessed the scuffle earlier. He was so angry that the corners of his eyes kept twitching uncontrollably.

He had always hoped to collaborate with the Thunderbolt Entertainment Group, and this had been such a rare opportunity for him to meet Lu Shijin. However, he hadn't expected Lu Shijin to witness such a chaotic scene when he came into the office.

He was absolutely livid but he couldn't yell at his employees when Lu Shijin was present, so he was forced to tamp down his anger. He said in embarrassment, "Mr. Lu, I'm really sorry about this. Let's head into my office first. This way please."

"Sure," Lu Shijin replied coolly. He didn't do anything in particular, but he gave off an air of undeniable authority.

Everyone in the office chattered excitedly after Lu Shijin and the Chairman walked out of the room.

"It's no wonder that this man is known as the richest single man in Beining City. He is so incredibly handsome! He's so handsome that it's unreal!"

These women had just been hurling abusive words at Tang Ruochu because of that jerk Ji Yinfeng earlier, but in the next moment, they were all falling over themselves at the sight of Lu Shijin.

They didn't have any moral values to speak of at all!

"Let it go," Tang Ruochu said with a wry smile.

These people had hurled those abusive words at her without sparing a thought because they were clearly the type of people who would fan the flames of such incidents just to make things worse. How could she expect them to be aware of how hurtful their words were?

They probably would have used even uglier words if Lu Shijin hadn't appeared by chance earlier.
