Chapter 180
Even as a mother, you can’t let your child hurt you without restraint.
Being young is not a shield. Belinda’s actions were the same as Helena Wilfred’s–she was a perpetrator of evil.
Not forgiving her was the right thing to do.
Josephine wanted to transfer some money to Zoey to thank her for her help.
No matter what Josephine said, Zoey refused to accept it.
“Josie, I still owe you a debt of gratitude… In my first year working for the Hayden family, it was you who paid for my father’s cancer treatment and surgery…”
“It’s not just me who’s grateful to you. All the servants and bodyguards at Rose Manor who
remember your kindness.” have been cared for by you
Josephine smiled slightly and put away her phone.
“If you ever need my help, just ask.”
Zoey agreed and returned to the hospital room.
Josephine started walking, but she was in no hurry to leave the hospital.
She wandered through the lounge, the corridors, the smoking room, and the restroom, but didn’t see Helena anywhere.
After leaving the ward building, she raised her right hand to shield her eyes from the glaring sun and looked around.
Finally, at a corner, her eyes automatically focused on the person she was looking for.
Helena kept glancing around nervously, her expression clearly flustered and agitated.
She spoke harshly to the woman in front of her:
“I told you not to come looking for me. If the Hayden family finds out, I’ll never have a good life again.”

She waited a couple of seconds, but got no response.
Helena shot a reproachful look at the woman across from her.
The woman was about forty–five, her face caked with layers of foundation, her real features obscured but the swelling and stiffness from cosmetic procedures obvious.
She wore an expensive, tight–fitting corset dress, her waist was wasp–thin and her hips prominent, her posture deliberately exaggerated into a dramatic S–curve.
A middle–aged man in a suit walked by, and she threw him a flirtatious glance, letting out a coquettish, sultry, “I’m so tired.”
Helena’s face instantly turned as red as an overripe tomato, and she angrily yanked the
woman.
“This is a hospital. Can you stop going into heat everywhere?”
The woman immediately became displeased and snapped back, “That noble young master of the Hayden family didn’t teach you much, did he? Talking to your own mother like that.”
Mother… Josephine, eavesdropping from around the corner, raised her eyebrows as high as they could go.
She vaguely remembered the day she noticed something off between Wilfred and Helena, when Wilfred had said, “Lena has no parents, no friends. She’s only twenty–three–where do you expect her to go?”
A mocking smile curled at the corner of Josephine’s lips.
“Didn’t we always just talk on the phone before? What made you dare to suddenly come to the hospital to find me today?”
Helena’s brows twisted into a knot as she looked at the woman impatiently, glancing quickly around from time to time.
The woman saw another man in a suit walk by, tried to flirt again and failed, and her mood soured.
She switched to an equally impatient expression as she looked at Helena, her voice turning rough.
“It’s all because the boss at the car dealership is forcing me… He said my gambling debts would be written off if I slept with his clients, but yesterday he suddenly demanded I pay up,

and threatened to cut off my fingers if I dared to delay…”
Josephine listened quietly, her mocking smile as cold as winter frost.
Helena’s mother truly lived up to expectations.
Josephine decided she needed to think things through carefully and not alert the enemy just yet.
