Taking Back What My Sister Stole novel Chapter 32

Chapter32

Wesley let out a cold laugh. His handsome and noble face was full of harshness and indifference. In the heat of emotion, he lost his reason.

Since you don’t want to be Mrs. Carlton, why are you still lying here? Don’t you know this floor is reserved for the Carlton family?

If she didn’t see herself as Mrs. Carlton, then she had no right to stay

here.

Priscilla looked at Wesley in disbelief, with her pale lips trembling.

So, you’re kicking me out?

Wesley said nothing, but his dark eyes were devoid of any warmth.

Priscilla lowered her gaze, lifted the covers, and got out of bed.

Although her ankle had been treated, the pain was still excruciating, so her movements were especially slow

Wesley stood with his arms crossed, looking down at her with a contemptuous sneer. Moving so slowlydo you think I’ll ask you to stay, so you’re dragging it out on purpose?

Gritting her teeth, Priscilla hurried to put on her shoes, grabbed her phone, and left without looking back.

The sound of the door closing echoed. Wesley kicked a stool in anger and felt unable to contain his fury

Even though their marriage was by agreement, for the past three years he had given her all the dignity and wealth of Mrs. Carlton, yet now

she treated him like this.

She couldn’t tolerate Larissa, and even stood him up at the press. conference.

She had never truly regarded herself as his wife. let alone had the sense of unity a couple should have.

Priscilla hadn’t gone farher foot hurt too much.

The doctor had repeatedly warned her to be careful and to rest as much as possible, or her foot would be ruined.

So she found a random emergency exit, went in, and sat on the stairs.

Her chest ached with a sour and swelling pain. She just wanted to be alone, so she turned off her phone and cut off all contact.

Wesley stood in the hospital room for a few minutes, with his dark face, then walked out.

Just then, the nurse who was supposed to give Priscilla a second treatment pushed the door.

Mr. Carltonhuh, where’s Mrs. Carlton? The nurse was shocked.

Wesley looked at the cart in front of him and a strange feeling rosein his heart. In the end, he still asked, What’s wrong with her?

Only then did he realize that his wife might not have come to the hospital to avoid the press conference, but because she was truly unwell.

The nurse said anxiously, Mrs. Carlton’s ankle has suffered a very serious secondary injury. The doctor said she must not get out of bed and needs to rest. Why won’t she listen?

Wesley suddenly recalled the way Priscilla had just gotten out of bed

Her movements had been very slowshe was clearly in a greatpain.

He had thought she was just waiting for him to ask her to stay.

Secondary injury how did it happen?he asked impatiently

The nurse quickly replied. Mrs. Carlton said she was pushed by

someone.

Thinking of how Priscilla looked when she arrived, the nurse added. Mrs. Carlton also has several bruises on her body.

Bruises?

Wesley’s heart skipped a beat. What exactly had happened?

Mr. Carlton, if you know where Mrs. Carlton is. please ask her to return as soon as possible. We need to proceed with the second treatment. Her foot can’t be delayed, the nurse said as she pushed the

treatment cart away

Wesley stood in the corridor, looking around. With an injury like that. how fast could she possibly walk?

But the corridor was empty, with no sign of Priscilla.

Wesley ordered someone to check the surveillance cameras.

But the surveillance system in this building was being upgraded and hadn’t been activated today

She wasn’t at the hospital, nor had she gone home.

Wesley’s expression grew darker and darker. He couldn’t help but recall the day she was kidnapped and his heart pounded wildly

(Chapter32)

Send more people to keep searching,he ordered hoarsely.

He kept dialing Priscilla’s number, but all he got was the mechanical female voice saying,

The number you have dialed cannot be reached.

Wesley sat on the sofa, his eyes red. A surveillance video was playing on his phone, one Raelynn had sent him not long ago.

Raelynn’s exact words were: You probably want to know why Mrs. Carlton changed her mind and left.

In the video. Claude was dragging Priscilla with great force.

When Claude flung her against the wall, the dull thud could even be heard through the surveillance footage.

And the things Claude said were like muffled thunder crashing into Wesley’s heart.

Every time he thought about how coldly he had told her to leave the hospital, regret surged within him like a tidal wave.
