Chapter77
A servant knocked on the door: “Madam, are you up?”
Priscilla took a deep breath, suppressing her irritation. “I’m up.”
Her voice was so hoarse it didn’t sound like her own.
Her throat hurt too.
She angrily threw out another pillow.
Dragging her sore body, she took a shower and changed into loose clothes.
When she went downstairs, the servant brought her breakfast, followed by a bowl of dark, murky medicine.
The smell was awful.
Priscilla frowned. “What is this?”
The servant hurried to explain, “Sir had someone deliver this herbal medicine for you, to nourish your body.”
“I’m not drinking it. Take it away.” She turned her gaze away irritably.
Seeing her in a bad mood, the servant had no choice but to take the medicine away and went to inform Elijah.
Elijah told Wesley.

She didn’t want to have a child, so she refused to drink the medicine.
He knew her heart was no longer in this home.
After breakfast, Priscilla lay in bed for half the day again.
Corrine called her over to try on clothes.
Priscilla couldn’t agree. There were bodyguards outside the villa; she couldn’t leave.
So Corrine simply brought the clothes over herself.
In the bedroom, as Priscilla took off her outer clothes, Corrine saw the bruises and marks all over her body and gasped.
“Did he hit you?”
She understood what went on between men and women, but
the marks on Priscilla were too severe.
She couldn’t help but suspect.
Priscilla lowered her eyes as she changed clothes, giving a bitter smile. “He wants a child.”
Corrine was shocked. “But aren’t you…”
She didn’t finish the sentence, afraid of hurting her friend.
“I told him, but he doesn’t believe me. He thinks I just refuse to have a child.”

Last night, they had struggled for a long time; neither of them felt good.
Corrine was furious. “He didn’t care when you were pregnant. before, which led to that disaster. Now he wants you to have a child? Is he insane?”
“He probably thinks that if I have a child, I won’t go after Larissa anymore.” Priscilla sniffled, feeling unbearably sour inside.
Wesley cherished Larissa, granting her every wish.
As his wife, she had never received such treatment.
Corrine felt sorry for her friend and comforted her, “When Mr. Wilkinson returns to the country, you should file for divorce and take half his assets. Let’s see how arrogant he is then.”
Of course, Priscilla was also looking forward to Mr.
Wilkinson’s return, but now Wesley had learned to use Bonnie
to control her.
By then, she really didn’t know what to do.
She could only take things one step at a time.
After having lunch with Priscilla, Corrine left.
Priscilla went back to her room and slept for half the day
again.
When Wesley came home and didn’t see Priscilla, he asked the servants and, learning she was in the bedroom, went to find her.
The curtains were open, and the afterglow of the setting sun

streamed through the window, casting a warm light by the bed.
Wesley lowered his head and kissed the corner of his wife’s lips, then deepened the kiss.
Priscilla couldn’t breathe and woke up.
Her sleepy eyes quickly cleared.
She immediately pushed him away, frowning impatiently.
Wesley didn’t mind, stroked her hair, and told her to change clothes and come eat.
“I’m not eating.!” she replied coldly.
Wesley slowly took off his clothes. “Fine, if you won’t eat, then let’s do it now.”
Priscilla was furious. She threw off the covers and sat up, glaring at him. “I’ve told you I can’t have children.”
Her eyes gradually reddened, and tears welled up uncontrollably.
“I hurt my body during the miscarriage in the storm last time. You can ask Dr. Thompson.”
Wesley still didn’t believe her. “You’ve been recuperating for months. Your body should be fine by now.”
He rubbed his brow in frustration. He felt guilty for the loss of the child and had been trying to make it up to her and repair their relationship.
But she didn’t appreciate it.

He lost all patience for coaxing her and simply took off his clothes and pulled her into his arms.
After two days of unrestrained passion, Priscilla couldn’t take it anymore and slept until late morning.
She was awakened by a basin of cold water.
When she opened her eyes, she saw Amelia’s furious face.
A few sheets of paper were thrown onto her face.
“Priscilla, you’ve really gone too far, daring to use pregnancy to fool us.”
That morning, feeling unwell, Amelia had gone to the hospital. Remembering Priscilla’s supposed pregnancy, she went to the obstetrics department to inquire about Priscilla’s condition, only to learn that Priscilla was infertile.
