Chapter85
Tania understood, shocked by her daughter’s cold-
bloodedness.
Larissa’s expression changed.
Priscilla knew?
How did she find out?
Priscilla looked up and saw the panic in Larissa’s eyes that she couldn’t hide in time.
So it really was related to her.
Suddenly, Larissa called out in surprise, “Wes.”
Wesley arrived.
He walked up to Priscilla and asked her with concern, “Are you alright?”
For once, he didn’t go to comfort Larissa first.
“Wes, you’re finally here,” Tania sobbed, finally feeling she had someone to rely on. “Priscilla actually said it was Claude who leaked the formula. You two are so close, how could he possibly do such a thing?”
Wesley frowned. “Leaked the formula?”
The real culprit had already been caught, so why was Claude being dragged into this again?

Priscilla pulled out evidence from her phone. “The proof is right here”
Tania couldn’t bear to look after just two photos. “You must have faked these…”
She always believed in Claude’s innocence.
Larissa’s face grew paler and paler.
She thought her plan was flawless, but Priscilla had found out and even called the police.
She glanced at Wesley, calculating in her mind.
Taking the initiative, she stepped forward and said softly, “Wes, I want to talk to you alone.”
Priscilla let out a mocking laugh. She had been planning to leave anyway, so she said nothing and walked out.
Wesley wanted to follow her, but Larissa stopped him.
There was a soft shimmer in her eyes. “Wes.”
The two of them went into the corridor.
Larissa began to cry softly. “It’s all my fault, I’m to blame.”
Wesley frowned. “Take your time and tell me.”
Larissa said, “Claud saw how depressed I was and learned about what I went through at the company. He kept saying he wanted to teach Priscilla a lesson. I couldn’t stop him, and I never thought he would actually do something like this.”
Wesley showed no expression. “So it’s all true?”

Wesley’s face was icy cold. “Does he have any idea how much damage this has caused me? And Priscilla–she’s his own sister, and he could still do this to her.”
At this moment, he finally understood the kind of favoritism Bonnie had spoken of in the Wilburn family.
It was infuriating.
Thinking about how Priscilla had lived in such an environment for over twenty years made his heart ache.
He couldn’t wait to see her.
“Wes, for my sake, can you let him off this time?” Larissa pleaded in a low voice.
As long as Wesley didn’t pursue it, Priscilla calling the police would be useless.
But Wesley was no longer as lenient as before.
He said coldly, “He deserves to suffer a little.”
Leaving those words behind, he strode off to catch up with Priscilla.
He didn’t even notice that Larissa was still holding onto his sleeve.
Larissa was almost pulled off balance. She steadied herself, her expression full of disbelief.
He actually just left like that?

Tania came out, anxiously asking about Wesley’s attitude.
Larissa shook her head lightly. “He refused.”
Tania was so anxious she felt faint. “How could that be? Doesn’t he like you the most? Even your plea didn’t work?”
Like her?
Larissa’s heart was already filled with bitterness. Her voice trembled a little. “Now, the one he likes is Priscilla.”
“What?” Tania nearly fainted.
Wesley likes Priscilla?
If she had known, she wouldn’t have scolded Priscilla like that.
Wesley stopped Priscilla in the parking lot, feeling deeply guilty because after finding out about James, he hadn’t investigated further.
He had missed the chance to uncover the truth.
“Priscilla.”
“Are you going to help him?” Priscilla looked at him coldly.
Wesley grasped her hand tightly; her fingers were shockingly cold.
“I won’t,” he promised.
Priscilla was surprised; this really didn’t sound like something Wesley would say.
But it was for the best if he didn’t help.

She had solid evidence, enough to bring Claude down.

But Larissa might not be innocent. It all depended on how much Claude loved his sister.
“Come on, I’ll take you home,” Wesley said, putting his arm around her shoulders.
Priscilla gently pulled away. “Wesley, that’s enough.”
She wouldn’t be grateful to him just because he didn’t help Claude.
He didn’t need to act like he cared about her, either.
Just then, a car pulled up, and Priscilla left immediately.
Wesley stood there, his heart full of bitterness.
“Wes.” Larissa, supporting Tania, came looking for him again.
Both women had tears in their eyes.
Tania was so weak she nearly collapsed.
Wesley reached out to steady her.
Tania took the opportunity to grab his clothes, begging him to help Claude.
The Wilburn family had only one son; their future depended on him.
He couldn’t be allowed to get into trouble.
