Chapter 63

Daisy

Just like last time the pain was all worth it. As I hold the twins in my arms, I feel nothing but love and adoration. Both are just so perfect and sweet a boy and a girl. I only wish Sky was here to meet them too… he would have loved them to death.

“Oh my!” 1 look up and watch as Hazel and Samuel walk into the room. Hazel’s blue eyes sparkle. “How adorable! One that looks like the Alpha and one that looks like the Luna! They’re so little…” she squeals a bit and I can’t help but giggle at her. While she is Olivia’s apprentice, this is probably the first time she’s seen newborns before.

“They are small.” Samuel murmurs and watches them warily. “If I may assume… the one that looks like Daisy is the boy right? If just… seems to make sense in a way.”

I smile and nod. “That’s right… how’d you guess?” I look down at the twins. The firstborn is a little bigger and in the girl. She has a dusting of red hair and darker skin and I’m willing to bet she’ll have Aiden’s lovely blue eyes. The smaller baby is the boy and he has my albinism with his pale skin and white, hair.

“Just… a lucky guess.” Samuel rubs the back of his neck. He must be nervous about his pup so that’s coming out when seeing my own. It’s so cute honestly. “Do you have names yet? Well… I’m sure you do…

Hazel cuts in. “Ooh yes! What are their names? I can make them little banners for their nursery!” She beams happily. “I want to be the best godmother i can be! And a very fun one too!”

I giggle at her excitement. “We haven’t fully decided yet. I wanted Aiden to name his baby girl but he can’t decide at all.” I shoot my mate a look and he scowls back. “I like Lily as that’s what he said first but now he’s not sure at all.”

Aiden huffs. “I want her name to be perfect… what’s so bad about that?” He mutters. I know he’s just extra nervous about things but how can he mess up a name? It’s not like he’s naming her a curse word or something bad!

“Well, I already decided on our son’s name,” I announce and look down at the little one. He won’t be treated poorly like I was. Skylar may be the next Alpha but I’ll make sure this one is loved and cherished by all! That’s why I chose a name that means beloved. “His name is Davin. So the ball is in your court.”

Aiden pauses and looks down at the twins his eyes softening. “Davin…” he seems to like that name but then he was there when I researched many baby names. “Fine. If Davin means loved, then I’ll name our baby girl Lily after all. That way our children are ‘purely loved“.” He kisses my cheek and smiles warmly.

Hazel grins happily. “That’s so cute!” She looks at Samuel. “Do you have any ideas for our pup?” She asks curiously. He blinks slowly as if dumbfounded by the question. “I’ve thought of many names but I want you to decide in the end!”

Of course, that makes sense. Samuel hesitates and looks over to Aiden. “Well… I have one in mine… I have a feeling the pup will be a girl but I need your permission, Aiden.” My mate tilts his head as if puzzled. “I… want to use the name Rose… in honor of the sister I never knew but… I don’t know if you’ll be ok with it.”

Aiden freezes in place and stares at Samuel with wide eyes. He swallows hard and clenches his fists. “… That was my first thought for my daughter but… didn’t think it was right. It would be like I’m holding onto her.” he looks down at me. “I didn’t want you to think that…”

My eyes soften and I take his hand. “I wouldn’t have thought that at all. I know you’ll always hold Rosie close to your heart. She was your first mate and you loved her dearly.” I kiss the back of his hand and smile. “I have no doubts in your love for me.”

Aiden swallows hard and nods his eyes showing how sad he is. He will always love Rosie after all. “Yeah, with everything we do … doubt you’ll ever doubt it.” My face turns red and I smack his hand lightly. At least he’s smiling now.

“I–if it’s too hard, then I won’t name her that.” Samuel stammers and looks to the side. “There are other names I can think of… no big deal. He doesn’t want to step on any toes it seems.

Aiden clears his throat. “No, I… think it’s a sweet way to honor her memory. You never knew her but… you remind me of Rosie every day. Your kindness and strength reflect hers nicely.” He offers Samuel a hand. “You don’t need my permission. Name your child as you wish. I can’t wait to meet them

Chapter 63

Samuel hesitates and takes his hand shaking it. “Thank you, man.” He offers a small smile. “I hope you feel whole again soon…, both of you.. he looks itu Hazel. “We should go and start working on those banners, yes? I’m sure Daisy and the twins need to rest and get some sleep.

His words hit harder than he meant them to. I know this and it takes everything just to force a smile. My emotions become a mess but i don’t want to show it. If I do then Samuel will feel guilty and that will cause him needless stress which he doesn’t need right now.

Hazel pouts and sighs. “Fine… I’ll see you four later! Bye bye little one!” She waves to the sleeping pups and then walks out with Samuel. “Ooh, I can’t wait to design them! How about…” I don’t hear what else she says.

Once they leave, I can’t hold back anymore. “Daisy?!” I barely hear Aiden’s voice. I break down and start to sob holding the twins while. This makes them stir and whine but I can stop them now. I’ve tried so hard to hold it together all this time but I can’t anymore!

As Aiden wraps his arms around us as the three of us cry, I just let everything finally hit me. I’m not whole and ok like I pretend to be. I need my firstbom son to feel whole again.

“W–why…?” I choke out. “W–why… haven’t you found him yet…?!” I hit Aiden in the chest but there’s no strength behind it. I feel Aiden tense. “8–bring him back… bring my Skylar home…!”

Aiden swallows hard and does his best to comfort us. His voice sounds forced but he manages to keep a steady voice. I know he’s hurting just as much as I am. It’s not fair for me to act this way towards him. But how can I be rational?

Where is he? Where is my Skylar? All I want to do is hold him close and never let go. ‘Please… hold on baby… we’ll find you soon… I think to myself as cry myself to sleep.
