Anastasia suddenly couldn’t wait to see Autumn get caught red-handed. She wasn’t some kind of saint—after everything Autumn had put her through, she’d love nothing more than to watch her get what she deserved. Autumn had brought this on herself; there was no blaming anyone else.
As for Autumn, Herman wasn’t the least bit worried anything unexpected would happen. He went straight to the point and asked Dailey, “It’s pretty late—what were you doing at The Grand Plaza Hotel?”
Anastasia’s curiosity was instantly on high alert; she perked up, all ears. Clearly, something was going on with Dailey.
Dailey fumbled, “Boss, I was just… passing by.”
Dailey couldn’t lie to save his life—he didn’t even bother to come up with a halfway decent excuse.
Who just happens to stroll by a hotel in the middle of the night? Was he really not staying there?
Dailey had his own place in Riverdale. Why would he go to a hotel instead of going home?
Catching the mischievous look in Anastasia’s eyes, Herman decided to play along and dug a little deeper.
“So you just happened to walk by the front door?” Herman asked, raising an eyebrow. “That’s some timing.”
“Boss…” Dailey sounded sheepish. “Sophia’s here.”
Herman immediately caught on. “Alright, I’ll let you go…”
But just as he was about to hang up, Herman couldn’t resist teasing, “Don’t let the opportunity slip by.”
Dailey, clearly flustered, scratched his head. “Boss… I gotta go.”
It looked like he wanted to say more, but the words just wouldn’t come out.
Once the call ended, Anastasia turned to Herman, eyes wide with curiosity. “Who’s Sophia? Dailey’s girlfriend?”
“More like his nemesis,” Herman grinned. “Dailey broke Sophia’s arm once, and she spent years hunting him down. Back then, just hearing her name was enough to send him running.”
Anastasia’s excitement was obvious. “So why isn’t he hiding this time? He actually went to the hotel—is something going on between them?”
“Not exactly,” Herman’s lips twitched with amusement. “Honestly, I’m curious myself why he’d go to the hotel. Over the years, things between them have gotten… complicated.”
“So, what does this Sophia do? To chase Dailey for years, she must be pretty impressive.”
“She used to be the president’s bodyguard—the only woman ever to get the job. During her three years on the team, the president didn’t even get a paper cut,” Herman said. “If they really fought, I’m not sure Dailey would win.”

Just as Herman expected, Mr. Walker had people keeping an eye on Autumn.

Autumn wasn’t home—she was at The Grand Plaza Hotel.
The moment he saw the photos, Mr. Walker was hit with a wave of rage, like the sky was falling.
He kicked the table in front of him, sending it rattling.
He fumed, feeling the sting of humiliation burning in his gut.
His wife was actually cheating on him, and right under his nose.
There was no way he was getting any sleep.
He couldn’t wait for morning. That night, well before sunrise, Mr. Walker jumped in his car and sped back to Riverdale.

Author pls Pls don't separate Ana and Herman once again because of Sandy. There must be an ending to Ana's sufferings!...
Yes yes yes!!! Thank you!!!...
How comes the twists are becoming uninteresting and unrealistic? Readers will prefer cleaner straight happy endings. Please don't go far beyond otherwise readers will lose interest. Time to end the story like we want it to be....
