The House Wife Had Secret Identities (Niamh Rivers and Jonathan) novel Chapter 315

Today marked the first time in over three years of marriage that Niamh had ever set foot on Jonathan’s private jet.

It was an Airbus ACJ319, its matte black fuselage accented by sleek gold striping a statement of understated luxury and confidence.

On the surface, this trip to Blackspire was for Julian and Susy’s wedding. In reality, there was far more on the agenda.

Business, for one.

Jonathan hadn’t just brought Prescott alonghe was also accompanied by several senior executives and staff from the FZZL project, as well as two bodyguards whose athletic build left no doubt about their capabilities.

The FZZL project, which Michael had mentioned before, was a joint venture between The Burton Group and The Thomas Group, with CelestiMed spearheading the research and development of an Alassisted diagnostic system.

These days, Al had become ubiquitous, woven into countless aspects of daily life and work. Albased diagnostic systems weren’t exactly new, either.

But the technology was still far from perfectespecially in the medical field, where precision was nonnegotiable. So, for now, these systems weren’t as accurate or widespread as they could be.

CelestiMed was a rising star in medical technology, determined to bridge that gap

between Al and healthcare.

Jonathan had wanted to break into this sector for some time, but CelestiMed’s

main partner had always been The Burton Group.

With CelestiMed based in Blackspire, this trip gave Jonathan the perfect excuse to meet their new hirea genetics expert, according to the company, who could help create genebased data algorithms for the FZZL system. The goal: to reduce diagnostic errors and make the system far more accurate.

Michael wasn’t on this trip. Since Jonathan had ceded the Northriver property to him, Michael’s focus had shifted entirely to that project.

Business wasn’t the only thing on Jonathan’s mind in Blackspire. He and Niamh were also finalizing their divorce.

Unlike the convoluted process in Aldonia, Blackspire’s system was refreshingly

straightforward: both spouses merely needed to sign the paperwork and submit together at city hall.

Here, all it took was handing in a jointly signed agreement to the court. Once approved, they’d receive a divorce certificatea simple, official end to their marriage.

Niamh had already confirmed the process with Jonathan.

Right before boarding, Jonathan held out his hand to her. He didn’t say a word, but she understood immediately.

She pulled three copies of the signed divorce agreement from her briefcase and handed them to him.

The documents lingered in Jonathan’s hand for only a few seconds before he passed them to Prescott.

When we arrive in Blackspire, I’ll have Prescott submit the papers to the court. Once we get the divorce certificate, we’ll take it for consular authentication,” Jonathan explained.

Alright.Niamh nodded, then turned to Prescott. “Thank you for handling this.

Once the authentication was done, city hall would update their records.

And then, her marital status with Jonathan would officially becomedivorced.

Following Jonathan, Niamh boarded the jet.

It was every bit as extravagant as she’d expected: spacious, impeccably equipped, even boasting a compact shower.

After takeoff, once they were cruising above the stratosphere, Jonathan gathered his staff for a brief meeting in the cabin.

Niamh sat off to the side, quietly sketching. She was still working on the design for the Queen of Frostvale’s crown, even though Peter hadn’t given her any confirmation that the project was moving forward.

She’d barely finished a rough draft when she noticed Jonathan wrapping up his business.

I had no idea you were such a workaholic,” Jonathan remarked, settling down beside her.

Niamh nearly laughedif anyone lived for work, it was Jonathan. Business always came first with him, no matter the hour.
