Chapter 88
** Parker’s POV **
She’s trembling beneath me, a sheen of sweat over her skin, and her breathing coming in shallow gasps. Goddess, she’s beautiful like this, glowing with satisfaction. But even through the haze of her release, I see the disappointment in her eyes.
Her hand goes to her neck, just above Remy’s mark, before falling away. She doesn’t say it, she doesn’t have to. The hurt in her eyes is enough.
I press a kiss to her forehead, forcing myself to keep my voice soft and calm, even when every part of me is screaming to sink my teeth into her and claim her fully. “I know what you’re thinking, Paige,” I say, brushing my thumb across her swollen bottom lip. “You wanted me to mark you and complete the bond.”
She blinks back tears, and my chest tightens painfully. I cup her cheek, forcing her to meet my eyes. “I swear to you, Paige, I will. But not like this. Not when your heat is pulling you in every direction, not when I’d have to give you up before we’ve even felt what it’s like to just… breathe together. When I mark you, I want it to be special. Just us. I want time to bask in the connection, to memorise every second of it, without worrying about who has to step in next.”
Before she gets the chance to answer, I sense the surge of her heat. It’s violent and insatiable as it rips through her again. Her whole body arches against me with a soft whimper.
“Parker…” she gasps, clutching at me.
“Shhh, it’s okay, we’ve got you,” I whisper, but my heart clenches. My point made itself for me. I’d have had to hand over before the bond had even had a chance to solidify.
Remy is already on it, his hand on her hip, his eyes wild with the pull of her heat that he’s been trying to resist. We’d promised we’d do this one at a time, and only when her heat demanded it, and Goddess, it’s demanding now.
I press a kiss to her temple before looking at my brother. “She needs you.”
Remy hesitates, his gaze darting to mine as if asking permission. I nod, swallowing the lump in my throat, and he pulls her against him, his strong arms caging her body like she’s the most precious thing in the world.
I stay close, whispering praise in her ear as she writhes under Remy’s touch. “You’re perfect, Paige. So strong. So damn beautiful. Every one of us is yours, don’t ever doubt it.”
Her cries mix with Remy’s growls of restraint as I hold her hand, threading our fingers

together even while Remy claims her body.

This is the reason we’d all agreed not to get carried away. Every heat is different. Sometimes there are hours between waves of need, and sometimes it’s minutes. I know we all imagined our first time together as a group to be more of an orgy and less of a train, but as I watch her now, bliss unravelling her under Remy, even after three of us have already satisfied her heat, I know we made the right choice.
Ryder had drilled it into us that we couldn’t let her heat drive us into chaos. Callen resisted it with his usual stubbornness, insisting he could go three times in a row if he had to. Remy had pretended he didn’t care, but when we sat there, pretending to watch that movie, we agreed this was the best way. I knew we were all terrified of losing ourselves to her fire, but we are here now, sticking to the plan, doing it for her.
This is how I know we’ll be okay. Because even in the grip of heat, even half–feral, none of us will break the rules we set ourselves, we’ll never do anything to her that isn’t exactly what she
needs.
“Remy,” she cries, her hand clenching in mine.
Her nails dig into my skin. She’s not even aware she’s holding me this tightly, not aware that her cries are sending shivers down my spine. I whisper against her temple. “That’s it, beautiful. Let it all out. You’re safe. We’ve got you.”
Her body arches against Remy’s chest, and my brother lets out another low groan, the kind that says he’s seconds from losing his carefully built composure. His wolf is right at the surface, I can feel it. I send a silent reminder through the mind–link, the way he had for me. Steady, Rem.”
Paige whimpers again, and Remy buries his face in her neck, his mouth covering his mate mark. When he pulls back, his jaw is tight, and sweat drips down his temple. He’s fighting it, trying to hold off until she’s satisfied.
Her thighs tremble around him, and her eyes lock with his. I’m not sure what it is that she sees there, but her breath hitches. “Mine,” she whispers, and I see Remy falter.
”
Healing is the only word that comes close to what I see when I look at Remy now. Watching my brother, the man who learned to hide behind sarcasm and anger, melt into her hands like this, letting himself be vulnerable for the first time since we were kids, is more than I’m ready for. There was a stone wall around him that I’ve spent half my life trying to pull down, brick by stubborn brick, and Paige didn’t just find the loose ones… she tore the whole damn thing down. My chest hurts with gratitude. I know I’ll never be able to pay her back for dragging him out of that dark place, for giving him this softness I thought was gone forever. I silently swear to guard what she’s given us with everything I have.

Her body seizes again, a sharp cry tearing from her throat as she breaks apart under Remy. The sound rips through me, urging me to complete the bond with her, and I bite down on my lip so hard I taste blood, but I don’t let go of her hand.
Remy groans her name like it’s the only word he’s ever known, his body locking up against her as he spills into her. I watch her face as she finds the peace that only comes from floating in
utter bliss. She’s stunning.
When it’s over, Remy collapses against her, his chest heaving. He cradles her like she’s breakable glass, kissing her hairline, whispering things I don’t quite catch.
I stroke her hair back, meeting Remy’s eyes. There’s no competition there, no rivalry. Just understanding. He gives me a small nod, and I return it.
We all wait, watching for signs that this still isn’t over, but her scent finally shifts to the more subtle sweetness of satisfied heat.
I lean close to her ear, my lips brushing her shoulder. “You’re incredible. Do you know that? Stronger than any of us gave you credit for, and when it’s finally my turn to mark you… It’s going to be everything. Just us, no heat pushing, no one else waiting. I’ll give you a night that never ends.”
Her tired smile nearly destroys me. I kiss her softly, careful not to demand too much. “Rest now, beautiful. You’ve earned it. We’ll all be right here if you need us. We’re not going anywhere,” I whisper.
“I need to shower, and about a gallon of water,” she groans, wrinkling her nose.
“I’ll get the water,” Callen says from his place by the door. “Skip the shower, you should rest.”
“No, I can’t sleep like this, I’m gross.”
“A bath then? Soak your muscles so you might be able to walk tomorrow,” Ryder teases before following Callen out of the room.
“You’re not gross, you’re beautiful,” I smile. “So damn beautiful. You don’t even know what you’re doing to us, do you?”
She shakes her head.
A shaky laugh slips from me before I can stop it. “Only you could have four werewolves arguing over condoms. I had to distract you earlier while Callen, Ryder, and Remy were trying to figure out how to use the condoms.”
She giggles. “That’s what that was? I thought you were just being sweet while they argued over who went first.”
