Rains P.O.V.
While sitting on the cot in this dirty cell, all I’m able to think about is Jess and Odett. If I have to spend the rest of my life here, I can die happy knowing they are safe. After about an hour, Beta Orian opens the cell door.
“You ready to see your new room?” He asked, and I looked up at him in confusion.
“What? I finally ask. “I don’t have to spend the rest of my life in this cell?”
“You’ve done nothing wrong. We only brought you here out of precaution.” He says. “The King has given me permission to move you to a room.”
“Oh, okay, we’ll thank you,” I say in appreciation as I struggle to stand.
“Are your wounds still not healed yet?” He asked, noticing I’m in pain. I shook my head.
“No, Dosha isn’t strong enough to heal me after she had to take control to fight those rogues,” I say, gritting my teeth to get through the pain.
“Well, please let me help you. It’s a bit of a walk to your room.” He says as he walks to me, waiting for me to accept his help.
“Easy ladies, she’s still not fully healed.” He says, and they release me from their tight embrace.
“Oh Goddess, are you okay, Rainie-bug?” Jess asked.
“Just alil soar still,” I respond.
“Okay, ladies, seems ya’ll have some catching up to do, so I’ll leave ya’ll to it.” He says as he walks over to Jess grabbing her hand, bringing it to his lips, and gently kissing it. “And I’ll be back for the two of you in a bit.”
