Chapter 1820: Ancient Monster
Rowan returned to the castle of Algorth and then entered his Origin Land. His gaze swept through its entirety, and he was satisfied with what he saw.
Hovering above his palm were two separate Origins: the Origin of Chaos and the fifteen Origins of Time. He observed them for a while before closing his fist to keep them away.
Not disturbing the operation of his realm, Rowan merged with the unique space of his realm, and he became one with it. In this moment, he became Eos.
Describing his present state was almost impossible, but the closest words were that he became everything and everything became him.
Exchanging the body of Rowan to become Eos was like transforming from a man into a planet. His senses exploded to the limits, but he had long passed the period where he would have been overwhelmed by something like this… now it was all normal.
His position as a higher-dimensional entity was solidified, and he could no longer be swept aside by the seemingly endless tides of mysteries that the higher-dimensional realms bring.
In his body as Eos, the sensation that was most apparent to him was the desire for growth.
He had been reborn, but his birth was not fully realized because Rowan was stifling his growth. Like a fully grown foetus that was refusing to emerge from his mother’s womb, Rowan was forcefully limiting his emergence, and in the form of Rowan, he could easily push aside this instinct of growth, but as Eos, it was almost impossible to drive down this sensation.
He felt as if he had squeezed himself into a tight space made of cardboard, and his bones and joints were aching for freedom. It would be so easy for him to stretch.
Instincts could be mastered, even ones as strong as that from a Reality.
Rowan knew that this action would shatter all of Reality, exposing him to seven merciless Primordials who would devour him. Was he strong enough to fight them as he was?
Rowan felt the vibration of the Primordial Record inside him like a thunderstorm, and he smiled. He recalled the time he was a mortal and the Primordial Record had shown him what would occur if they both fused together.
In that vision, he had seen that all of Reality had ended, and he fought against the Primordials, which led to battles where he lost most of the time.
Like all the visions that the Primordial Record had shown him, there were always more mysteries behind it that could only be understood when he became stronger.
When he had first seen that vision, he was ignorant of so much knowledge about the higher-dimensional realm that his interpretation of everything he had seen was almost false.
His first big mistake was to believe that the Primordials he had been fighting were the same Primordials that could be found inside Reality.
Only with more knowledge did he fully understand that the Primordial Record was not an ordinary Singularity, and when he merged with it, then he had most likely also merged with the so-called First Creator Enoch, and that the Primordials he had battled were not the weak versions of them inside Reality but the full horrifying eldrith force waiting outside of it.
Understanding this distinction was important because it gave Rowan a baseline to judge the strength of the Primordials. Sooner rather than later, he would be fighting them, and unlike his visions, he only had one chance.
Rowan did not think what he felt for the future was fear or uncertainty. It was perhaps a deep weariness that came from fighting all your life and finally seeing an end on the horizon, but this end was so steep that despite all his losses and sacrifices, he might still lose.
“One day I shall stand before the sun and have no enemies in all directions… One day.”
But before that would happen, he needed to prepare. Although it had not been long in real time since he summoned the Primordial Record, Many things had happened in such a short while that it felt like an eternity ago.
At his present level, time felt meaningless to him, and he only had the habit of keeping it due to his past as a mortal and his children, who still kept his mind bound to the fragile dimension of time that they could perceive.
His Singularity shared its content with him seamlessly, as their bond was lacking only a single step for a complete fusion.
The first thing that struck him was his age. He had truly become an ancient monster. Although not many years had passed in real time… this was just the time applicable inside Eosah’s Reality.
Rowan had long been able to carve out a piece of time for himself, and all the years he had spent inside of them were faithfully recorded by the Primordial Record.
