When did the "teacher" who was leading them just vanish?
Right as Tracy was wondering about it, the roar of a car engine ripped through the air.
She whipped her head around and saw the so-called "teacher" behind the wheel of a black car, flying straight at her like a bullet.
"Bitch, go to hell!"
His plain face, usually so forgettable, was twisted with rage.
"CeeCee, move!"
Ronald didn't hesitate—he grabbed her and threw them both to the side.
They hit the ground hard, but Ronald shielded Tracy with his body so she wouldn't get hurt.
The black car that should've plowed into them was suddenly smashed from the side by a speeding sports car.
Suncord Mountain was a hotspot for car junkies and racers. But right off the road was nothing but a deadly drop. The car lost control and shot straight off the cliff, tumbling down.
The sports car that hit it couldn't stop either—it rolled off with it.
That sports car had been Tracy's birthday gift to Liam, back when things between them were good.
He'd driven it today on purpose, wanting to relive those memories with her.
But now ...
As the car went over the cliff, Liam's eyes flicked to the rearview mirror. He caught one last glimpse of Tracy's stunned face.
At that moment, he wasn't scared of slipping off the edge anymore.
This time, Tracy will realize I'm sincere, right?
She'll forgive me, won't she?
Maybe this time she'd climb down the cliff to look for him, just like she did before.
Maybe they could finally get back to those easy, carefree days they once had.
Holding onto that hope, Liam blacked out, swallowed by spinning dizziness and the sharp ache running through his whole body.
When he opened his eyes, he was staring at a white ceiling.
The sharp smell of disinfectant burned his nose. It took him a moment to realize—he was in a hospital.
As soon as he came to, his eyes landed on the nurse next to him. "Who saved me?
He didn't even stop to think about his own wounds. In a careful voice, he asked, "Was it a girl?"
The nurse, who hadn't even realized he was awake, looked a little puzzled and took a moment before answering, "Yeah. A girl brought you in."
Liam's tight chest finally relaxed as happiness surged over him.
He knew it.
He knew that once Tracy realized he was sincere, she would forgive him for sure!

Who else would she be if not one of them?
Did this guy hit his head too when he went over the cliff?
