The Villainess Needs a Hug (Ivy Windsor) novel Chapter 730

But now she realized she was losing control herself, even starting to crave him.

The trouble was, her body still hadn’t fully recovered; she couldn’t give in to every whim. Yet every night, the way Jamison looked at her made her feel as if he wanted to devour her whole.

She remembered how reckless they’d been in the car earlier. She knew full well he hadn’t gotten any real relief out of it. If they went to bed together, there was no way it would end with just a good night’s sleephe’d want more, and she’d end up just as unsatisfied.

In the end, neither of them would get what they wanted, and she’d be left feeling even emptier and more restless.

So Ivy did her best to keep her distance, to avoid temptation.

But apparently, Dr. Ludwig refused to let his wife run away. Why else would he track her down here, in the study?

Jamison watched as she started to back away before he’d even reached her. He couldn’t help feeling a little annoyed.

It’s not me looking for you. They need you.His tone was cool as he stepped forward and set his phone down in front of Ivy.

The WhatsApp group chat was still going off, new messages popping up on the screen. Everyone was online.

Ivy glanced at the frantic messagesapparently, everyone had lost money today and was feeling anxious. She instructed Dr. Ludwig, Just tell them I’ll respond when I’m done here.

Jamison was happy to play her assistant. He picked up the phone and typed out her reply.

Then, instead of leaving, he just stood there by the desk.

Technically, this was his study, but ever since Ivy had moved in, she’d all but

claimed it for herself.

Jamison watched his workaholic wife, feeling even more put out.

Finally, Ivy finished what she was doing and glanced back at him. Why are you just standing there?

He didn’t answer. As she stood up, he reached out, wrapped his long arm around her, and pulled her into his arms.

She gave a soft gasp, bracing her hands against his chest. He hadn’t even done anything yet, but her cheeks were already turning pink.

Don’t start. Wasn’t it just a few nights ago-She trailed off, thinking of his insistence on showering together, the way he couldn’t keep his hands off her. Hadn’t that been enough to tide him over for a few days?

You said it yourself, that was a few nights ago. At our age, shouldn’t we be celebrating life every night?Dr. Ludwig’s voice grew more shameless by the second, dropping any pretense of restraint in front of his wife.

Ivy’s cheeks went even redder. Every night? Aren’t you worried you’ll wear yourself out?

There’s only one way to find out.’

She fell silent. Jamison grinned, dipped his head, and kissed the corner of her mouth. One of his hands slid to her waist, kneading her gently, his voice getting low and husky. Let me see if you really did gain weight

Speechless, Ivy shivered under his touch, unable to hide her reaction.

Sensing her body’s response, Jamison pressed his hot breath to her delicate ear, his murmur deepening, You say no, but your body tells a different story. You miss me too, don’t you?

Shut up!She scolded, flusteredhe was impossible, always acting innocent when he was anything but.

With a wicked smile, Dr. Ludwig tightened his hold, lips tracing kisses along her neck and behind her ear. His hand slid under her shirt, bolder than he’d been in the

car.

Ivy frowned, resisting.

She reminded herself of the sixmonth rule. No matter how much she wanted him, she couldn’t risk itnot now. She had to endure, no matter how hard it was.

Jamison, stop itShe caught his wandering hand, her voice barely above a whisper.

Ivy, tell me you don’t want me. Can you?

NoShe denied it, but her words rang false.

Jamison smiled gently. I’m a doctor, love. I can read the signs.

She had no answer for that.

But don’t worry, I’ll behave. I know you’re still recoveringJamison’s tone softened. As a doctor, he knew all too well the care her body needed after surgery.
