The Wrong Girl and the Wronged Girl (Stella and Ethan) novel Chapter 815

Chapter 815 The Family Roast Session

When Dale arrived, he saw Tessa and Victor sitting comfortably together, leisurely eating soup.

In that instant, his rage hit its peak.

For days, he’d been drowning in chaos and stressyet this ungrateful girl sat there enjoying herself as if nothing had happened

Especially when he overheard Victor ask, You’re really not going to get involved with the

Ashen Pact situation?

Tessa shrugged. Why should I? That man’s not my father. It’s none of my business.

Dale froze. Victor said nothing, simply lifted his wine glass and took a slow sip.

Sweat beaded on Tessa’s nose as she went on, If you ask me, he probably can’t have kids anyway.”

Hmm?

Victor glanced at her, puzzled.

Tessa leaned forward toward him, close enough that he furrowed his brow. What are you doing?

Look,she said.

Look at what?

Don’t I look nothing like Dale?

Victor went silent.

And so did Dalenot far away, standing where he could hear every word.

Trevor, who was behind him, instinctively glanced his way. Dale’s face had gone so dark it could drip ink.

Victor looked at Tessa’s delicate little face, then pictured Dale’s in his mind.

Older now, yes, but his features still carried the trace of a man who must’ve been striking in his youth.

And those eyes were definitely like his.

Still, Victor chuckled softly. You do take after your mother more.

It was true. Tessa resembled Diana far more; her face carried her mother’s elegance.

But she wasn’t entirely unlike Dale either.

Unfortunately, in Dale’s cars, that comment took on a whole other meaning.

His face darkened further, his chest rising and falling with restrained fury.

And just when he was struggling to keep his composure, Tessa had to open her mouth again. If I don’t look like him, then those ugly twins look even less like him. When I saw Dan last time, he didn’t look like him either! Honestly, maybe none of those kids are his. That’s just pitiful- truly tragic.

If none of the children were his

Then Dale must’ve really done something unforgivable in a past life to deserve such misery in this one.

His breath came fast and sharp. He turned toward Trevor. None of them look like me?

Trevor froze.

Being hit with that questionespecially that kind of questionhe had no idea how to answer.

If he said they didwell, everyone knew Lina and Lana didn’t look like him at all.

But if he said they didn’tthat might be worse.

After a beat, he chose his words carefully. Ms. Tessa’s eyes, sirthey’re quite like yours.

It was the only survivable answer to a deathtrap of a question.

Hearing that, Dale looked over at Tessa again.

Especially when she smiled, her eyes curved in a way that really did resemble his from years ago.

Trevor’s words soothed him a little.

Meanwhile, Tessa was still going on about those twins.

Hey, I’m telling youI’ve never seen anyone that ugly in my life. Even makeup can’t fix it! Can you imagine what they look like without it?

The last time Lina and Lana had come to pick a fight with her, they’d been wearing makeup.

And even then

They’d looked terrifying.

So she really couldn’t imagine what kind of nightmare they must’ve been barefaced.

Their mom’s not ugly thoughshe’s supposed to be this ethereal beauty. How did they turn out like that?

Even if you’re going to cheat, at least do it with someone decentlooking. If the kids turned out that bad, the affair partner must’ve been hideous too.
