"This is the place," Rong Wenming braked his bicycle and got off.
After parking his bicycle, he walked toward the gatekeeper, "Master Dong."
Master Dong looked up... and what he saw almost made him lose his composure.
You, Rong, Rong Wenming?"
Is this a person or a ghost?
Pah, pah, pah... It’s broad daylight; it has to be a person, ghosts are impossible.
But wait, wasn’t he supposed to be dying?
When Rong Wenming was injured last year, some folks from their agricultural machinery station had gone to visit him, returning with news that he might only have a day or two left.
Now... Master Dong sized up Rong Wenming from head to toe, thinking that he could live several more decades without any issues.
So what in the world was going on?
Rong Wenming hadn’t thought of anything particular, but seeing the old man’s terrified and utterly shocked expression, he immediately figured it out.
He laughed out loud, "Master Dong, don’t worry, I’m alive, my wounds from last time are all healed up!"
On hearing this, Master Dong was astoundingly surprised.
"You’re lucky, it seems you have great fortune ahead of you to enjoy!"
Isn’t it said? But that doesn’t always guarantee good fortune. A man, nearly dead, now alive and well under the sunlight, his spirit clearly buoyant – he must have taken the initiative to manifest and keep himself from death!
Rong Wenming liked hearing this; he had such a good daughter and son-in-law; of course, his life would get better.
"Yes, great fortune! Master Dong, this is my son-in-law, Qin; I’ve come here for a bit of business... Is Master Zhang around?"
Master Dong quickly replied, "Yes, just go straight in."
"Okay." Rong Wenming pushed his bicycle into the agricultural machinery station.
Qin Ye followed behind.
Master Dong watched their departing figures, could not help but sigh:
Rong Wenming’s son-in-law really has a tall and strong presence, quite impressive indeed!
But wasn’t his daughter said to have gone to the countryside? Could she have come back?
Setting aside the matter of Rong Wenming’s son-in-law for now, just the appearance of Rong Wenming in such good health would probably have given Master Zhang quite the shock inside.
Comfortably familiar with the location, Rong Wenming walked to the warehouse and immediately spotted Master Zhang, squatting on the ground, seemingly tinkering with something.
Seeing his friend, couldn’t help feeling a bit happy, so he called out a little louder, "Old Zhang."
Master Zhang, hearing someone call his name, and recognizing the voice, lifted his head and was so startled that his eyes nearly popped out. He lost his balance and plummeted to the ground.
"You, you..." Weren’t you dead?
"Old Zhang, don’t worry, I’m still alive!" Having seen Old Dong’s reaction earlier, he knew what this expression meant.
Old Zhang snapped back to reality, quickly got up, and rushed over to Rong Wenming, his expression emotional.
"You’re really still alive? Your wounds are healed?"

Because he didn’t ask Aunt Jin, that person knew nothing.
