Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 348

Nora recoiled instinctively, stepping aside to avoid the scene.

She couldn’t understand it—if Eleanor wanted to apologize, fine. But dropping to her knees in front of everyone? It made it look like Nora was the villain in all this.

“Get up,” Nora said, voice tight.

Eleanor’s tears only flowed harder. “I’ll get up if you forgive me,” she pleaded, desperation sharpening her voice.

She was past caring about her dignity now—anything to avoid ending up behind bars.

Tears slid down Eleanor’s cheeks as she pressed on, “I just… I just want your forgiveness. All these years, I bullied you, Nora, all because I was jealous. I’m truly sorry now. Please, Nora, I’m begging you. If you’ll forgive me, I’ll do anything—anything at all. I’ll even serve you, if that’s what you want.”

She really would say anything at this point; after all, Donna was notoriously ruthless.

Nora gave a short, cold laugh. “Eleanor, do you really think that just because you’re on your knees, I’m supposed to forgive you?”

She wasn’t about to play the saint.

“If you want to kneel, then keep kneeling,” Nora replied, turning on her heel.

But Eleanor grabbed the hem of Nora’s dress, her voice trembling. “Nora, don’t I deserve a chance to make it right?”

Nora yanked her hand away. “No, you don’t.”

From Aurora to Una, Eleanor had forfeited her right to ask for another chance.

Annoyed, Nora turned to Daniel. “You handle this.”

Daniel pulled Eleanor to her feet, frowning. “That’s enough, Eleanor.”

Kneeling in front of everyone like this—she was trying to shame Nora into forgiving her.

“Dan, be gentle—that’s your own sister!” Donna exclaimed, rushing over to pull Eleanor to her side. “We can talk this through—there’s no need to be harsh.”

Eleanor sobbed against Donna’s shoulder. “Aunt Donna, I really mean it. I want to change. I’m truly sorry.”
