Charlene ignored him, so Thorne simply kept his silence.
From the other side of the parking lot, Gaylord emerged, spotting them and making his way over to Charlene.
"Morning!"
Charlene nodded, "Morning."
Gaylord paused, then turned to Thorne with a casual nod, "Morning."
Thorne grinned, "Morning."
Thorne was at PrimeStar Technologies to discuss a potential partnership.
Charlene, being a key figure in the company, was expected to warmly greet any business partners visiting for collaboration talks. But after Gaylord exchanged pleasantries with both Charlene and Thorne, he noticed that Charlene hadn't even bothered to turn towards Thorne, let alone engage him in conversation. She just walked straight ahead, showing no intention of playing the gracious host.
Was Charlene's chilly demeanor towards Thorne because of his connection with Vesta?
Gaylord considered this as he glanced back at Thorne.
Charlene's standoffishness didn't seem to faze Thorne in the slightest; there wasn't a hint of irritation on his face.
Gaylord decided to remain silent.
The four of them entered the elevator in silence.
Inside, Gaylord stood beside Charlene. She was wearing high heels, and even with just a touch of makeup, she looked stunning and composed.
Gaylord found himself captivated by Charlene's elegant profile, unable to tear his gaze away.
He kept staring until he noticed Thorne seemed to be watching him, prompting him to quickly divert his eyes back to Thorne.
Thorne caught his eye and smiled, but said nothing.
The elevator soon arrived at PrimeStar's floor.
In fact, this was Stewart's first formal meeting with Thorne.
At Helena's birthday party last year, Thorne had a brief chat with Kenton, and Stewart had gotten a sense of Thorne's depth of knowledge in the AI field.
However, that conversation had been brief.
Today, as they discussed the requirements for PrimeStar's next-generation chip's computing and reasoning capabilities for nearly three hours, Stewart realized Thorne's expertise in AI was even more profound than he had initially perceived.
No matter the topic, Thorne was never at a loss, his breadth of knowledge impressively vast.
Stewart even felt that Thorne's competence in this area rivaled his own.
This realization left him feeling a bit on edge.
Thorne glanced at his watch, "It's almost noon. Shall we continue this after lunch?"
Stewart replied, "Sure, whatever works for you."

Gosh, this is excruciating ! The slow pace made me leave this for over 3 months. Was just taking a peek and not much development. Btw they have now made this into a 3hr 40 min long drama.Available on daily motion under, the name, next chapter without you. But all the other fringe characters such as York Granger Gaylord are missing in the movie. Ending is very satisfying, practical and apt. She chooses to leave thorne and jasmine and be with Stewart. Vesta and family are inter national wanted Criminals. Not sure if they replicate the same on here. As this book is now on the app for more than 9 months, have a feeling it'll be another 6 to 9 months before this is completed!...
Stewart and Charlene will the best match, both power players!...
Can't wait to read where Charlene will start another relationship... God for is she gets back with Thorne... She needs to be with York or Gaylord (to annoy vesta) or granger (to annoy Thorne)...
I know its ur story and u obviously have ur own plot line and all and have every right to build the story as u like but what writer provide isnt just entertainment, but they shape the narrative of young minds. So I would say that romanticing cheating is, or rather THORNE'S behaviour, wrong for all the reasons..give york a chance ..that will be way more satisfying...again all of this is just my point of view but if charlene and thorne get back together, its not the story im looking for...
Hey...please dont ever make Charlene and thorne get back together no matter what...he simply doesn't deserve it....no matter the reason or plot twist behind the way he treated his legally wedded wife....whether he actually slept with vesta or not....just his emotional cheating...not repecting his spouse....not caring enough to actually get to know the person his wife was....and actually distancing his child from her mother and encouraging her to bond with the mistress are all the biggest RED FLAGS... when a person enters a contract....he must uphold it no questions asked...its not like if ur partner isnt good enough, ur allowed to cheat..allowed to let a 3rd person in-between....if ur not satisfied with ur partner then u can get a divorce...whats the point of all the wealth, power and brilliance of mind when the ML cant even get his head around this simple fact...So, its fine it he regrets, but charlene shouldn't be with him in any case.....
