He appeared here, but it wasn’t as if he intended to join them or to stir up trouble.
Looking at Charlene, he spoke with an easy familiarity, “Heading out to eat with Mr. Harden?”
Charlene nodded. “Yeah.”
“You’ll be back later, right?”
“That’s right.”
She still had unfinished business to take care of and needed to return afterward.
Gaylord nodded. “Alright, I’ll come find you a bit later then.”
With that, he said nothing more. He glanced briefly at Granger before turning and walking away.
Granger knew perfectly well that Gaylord was provoking him.
Gaylord was making it clear that, while Granger had to go to great lengths just to invite Charlene out, Gaylord knew all about her schedule and had plenty of chances to spend time with her. He didn’t even feel the need to play petty games or sabotage Granger’s efforts.
But Granger didn’t let the provocation get under his skin. He wasn’t upset or anxious.
Truth be told, from what he could see, Charlene didn’t seem interested in either of them—at least not in the way they hoped. So, he and Gaylord were really just two sides of the same coin.
If he had a choice, Granger would rather Charlene developed feelings for one of them—even if it wasn’t him—than remain completely indifferent.
A while back, Daisy had been taken home by her grandmother, and Granger had mentioned it to Charlene before.
Now, as they arrived at the restaurant, Charlene realized it had been some time since she’d heard anything about Daisy. Unable to hold back, she asked, “How’s Daisy doing these days?”
Her question warmed Granger’s heart. “She’s doing well. She called a couple of days ago and said she misses you—said she wants to come back and play with you.”
Charlene smiled. “That’d be lovely.”
Speaking of Daisy, Granger hesitated for a moment before adding, “I heard Minnie’s training has gone well this time, too. She’ll probably win something at the next competition.”
They, too, were surprised to see Charlene, but knowing that Granger and PrimeStar still maintained a solid business partnership, they didn’t think much of Granger and Charlene dining together.
Georgina offered a polite smile. “Sorry, Granger, Leah shouldn’t have interrupted your dinner.”
Granger still respected Georgina and Katie as elders, so he nodded. “It’s alright.”
But he showed no such courtesy to Leah. “Ms. Spencer, you and I are hardly acquainted. I hope this won’t happen again. Do you understand me, Ms. Spencer?”
He wasn’t just warning her—he was drawing a line in the sand.
Leah truly liked Granger. Hearing him reject her so firmly, especially in front of Charlene, she was so hurt that tears welled up and spilled over. She choked out, “I—I didn’t mean to—”
But Granger’s heart didn’t soften.
Since the subject was out in the open, he decided to be absolutely clear. “If I’m not mistaken, Ms. Spencer, you seem to have feelings for me. But let me be perfectly honest—I’m not interested. There’s no possibility for anything between us. I hope you’ll respect those boundaries from now on.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Unknown Divorce Revelation Beyond Time (Charlene and Thorne)
Chapters 480 and on are repeat from previous chapters. What's up with that? Time to stop reading this novel....
Thanks for the update. Keep them coming please!...
Any hope for Vesta being brain-dead?...
Thanks PINKK889 for the info. The same version is also on You tube except dubbed in English and titled “ I divorced my husband who cheated now begging me to come back” Enjoy...
Gosh, this is excruciating ! The slow pace made me leave this for over 3 months. Was just taking a peek and not much development. Btw they have now made this into a 3hr 40 min long drama.Available on daily motion under, the name, next chapter without you. But all the other fringe characters such as York Granger Gaylord are missing in the movie. Ending is very satisfying, practical and apt. She chooses to leave thorne and jasmine and be with Stewart. Vesta and family are inter national wanted Criminals. Not sure if they replicate the same on here. As this book is now on the app for more than 9 months, have a feeling it'll be another 6 to 9 months before this is completed!...
Stewart and Charlene will the best match, both power players!...
Can't wait to read where Charlene will start another relationship... God for is she gets back with Thorne... She needs to be with York or Gaylord (to annoy vesta) or granger (to annoy Thorne)...
I know its ur story and u obviously have ur own plot line and all and have every right to build the story as u like but what writer provide isnt just entertainment, but they shape the narrative of young minds. So I would say that romanticing cheating is, or rather THORNE'S behaviour, wrong for all the reasons..give york a chance ..that will be way more satisfying...again all of this is just my point of view but if charlene and thorne get back together, its not the story im looking for...
Hey...please dont ever make Charlene and thorne get back together no matter what...he simply doesn't deserve it....no matter the reason or plot twist behind the way he treated his legally wedded wife....whether he actually slept with vesta or not....just his emotional cheating...not repecting his spouse....not caring enough to actually get to know the person his wife was....and actually distancing his child from her mother and encouraging her to bond with the mistress are all the biggest RED FLAGS... when a person enters a contract....he must uphold it no questions asked...its not like if ur partner isnt good enough, ur allowed to cheat..allowed to let a 3rd person in-between....if ur not satisfied with ur partner then u can get a divorce...whats the point of all the wealth, power and brilliance of mind when the ML cant even get his head around this simple fact...So, its fine it he regrets, but charlene shouldn't be with him in any case.....
Enough already. This novel is dragging slowly. Updated with 2 chapters only. REALLY!!! Whoever the author or authors of this novel why is there a delay in penning more chapters? Here’s my question. In reading the comments from others does their opinions matters and/or make a difference? Are comments being monitored? Or is it only a tool allowing readers to blow off steam?...
