At noon, Vesta made her way to The Henderson Group headquarters, ready to accompany Thorne to a meeting with a partner from Neural Nexus Tech.
When she arrived, Thorne was still tied up in a meeting.
It had already been a busy morning for him—three back-to-back meetings—so Vesta waited patiently until he finally wrapped things up.
Stepping back into his office and seeing her there, Thorne gave a brief nod. "You’re here."
Vesta smiled. "Yeah."
"I’ve got a few things to finish up. We’ll have to wait a bit before we can head out," he said.
"No problem. Go ahead," Vesta replied, settling into a seat as Thorne turned to the stack of documents on his desk.
Meanwhile, Coy stood by his side, quietly running through the day’s itinerary.
"I spoke with Mr. Kevitt on the phone this morning," Thorne said. "I’ll be postponing my trip to Goldland by two days."
"Understood," Coy replied, not pressing for more details before moving on to the next item.
But as Vesta listened from across the room, her lashes fluttered ever so slightly.
Three nights from now was PrimeStar’s anniversary gala.
If Thorne was delaying his trip to Goldland, that could only mean he intended to attend the PrimeStar event.
When the invitation from PrimeStar had arrived, she’d promised to go with him. She’d only agreed because she didn’t want Thorne to notice anything out of the ordinary. In the past, whenever he’d asked her to join him at such events, she’d always said yes.
She’d figured when the gala rolled around, she could simply make up an excuse at the last minute.

Gosh, this is excruciating ! The slow pace made me leave this for over 3 months. Was just taking a peek and not much development. Btw they have now made this into a 3hr 40 min long drama.Available on daily motion under, the name, next chapter without you. But all the other fringe characters such as York Granger Gaylord are missing in the movie. Ending is very satisfying, practical and apt. She chooses to leave thorne and jasmine and be with Stewart. Vesta and family are inter national wanted Criminals. Not sure if they replicate the same on here. As this book is now on the app for more than 9 months, have a feeling it'll be another 6 to 9 months before this is completed!...

I know its ur story and u obviously have ur own plot line and all and have every right to build the story as u like but what writer provide isnt just entertainment, but they shape the narrative of young minds. So I would say that romanticing cheating is, or rather THORNE'S behaviour, wrong for all the reasons..give york a chance ..that will be way more satisfying...again all of this is just my point of view but if charlene and thorne get back together, its not the story im looking for...
Hey...please dont ever make Charlene and thorne get back together no matter what...he simply doesn't deserve it....no matter the reason or plot twist behind the way he treated his legally wedded wife....whether he actually slept with vesta or not....just his emotional cheating...not repecting his spouse....not caring enough to actually get to know the person his wife was....and actually distancing his child from her mother and encouraging her to bond with the mistress are all the biggest RED FLAGS... when a person enters a contract....he must uphold it no questions asked...its not like if ur partner isnt good enough, ur allowed to cheat..allowed to let a 3rd person in-between....if ur not satisfied with ur partner then u can get a divorce...whats the point of all the wealth, power and brilliance of mind when the ML cant even get his head around this simple fact...So, its fine it he regrets, but charlene shouldn't be with him in any case.....
