Zion set the latest version of the disciplinary plan down on the table, then subconsciously straightened his tie and posture.

Jonathan didn’t even bother to acknowledge the document in the slightest. He simply stated plainly, “I’m not interested in looking at the plan–I only care about the results. If the work culture in the company hasn’t changed by the end of the quarter, he can take responsibility and resign from his position.”

“Yes, sit.” Zion took the document back and placed another file on the table.

“This is the incident report on the pregnant passenger from the recent incident. You also asked us to investigate her family’s recent financial transactions for anything abnormal. Nothing seems out of the ordinary so far. Would you like us to continue digging?”

Jonathan had only just returned to the country and taken over as the executive CEO of AeroAir when the incident occurred.

Moreover, there just happened to be a prominent social media influencer on the flight at the time. The incident had quickly escalated into a major incident online. On top of everything, the pregnant woman happened to have a rare blood type–Rh–negative blood.

There were too many lucky coincidences to be a coincidence. How could Jonathan not be suspicious about the whole situation?

“A fox doesn’t show its tail that easily. No need to continue watching them for now,” Jonathan

said.

Zion nodded and moved on to the next item in his report.

Zion acknowledged the order.

With no other matters to report at the moment, he turned to leave. His phone vibrated just as he was about to step out of the office.

Glancing briefly at the screen, he abruptly stopped in his tracks and returned to stand in front of Jonathan again.

“Anything else?” Jonathan finally raised his head to look at Zion.

Zion pushed his phone toward Jonathan.

“Ms. Claude is asking about your preferences. How should I respond to her, Mr. Fullbuster?”

Jonathan’s gaze landed on the WhatsApp conversation displayed on Zion’s phone. He paused for a moment, then pulled out his own phone to check.

As expected… There was nothing.

He tossed the phone back to Zion, his tone flat and unreadable. “Reply however you see fit.”

“Understood, Mr. Fullbuster.”

Zion got the hint. Taking his phone, he turned to leave again.

“Wait.”

At that moment, Jonathan suddenly remembered something and called out to Zion.

He opened a drawer and pulled out a jewelry box, which he tossed to Zion.

“Have it melted down, and donate the remains to the Fullbuster Group’s foundation for elderly parents who’ve lost their only child.”

Pausing for a moment, he then added in an icy voice, “Do it yourself.”

Zion was baffled by those cryptic words. It’s one thing to donate jewelry, but why melt it down? And what did he mean by “remains“?
