Chapter 160 Dirty–Thoughts
SERAPHINA
The steam still clung to my skin as I stepped out of the bathroom, dressed in loose clothes. No male had bothered with the showers, so I’d found the place completely free for my enjoyment. Feeling lighter, calmer, and finally ready to sink into sleep, I padded down the hallway under the soft spill of moonlight, each step carrying me toward the comfort of my bed.
Only the moment I closed my door behind me, I froze.
Someone was already in my bed.
Ronan.
I blinked once. Then twice, just to make sure exhaustion wasn’t playing tricks on me.
There he was, stretched across my bed as though it belonged to him. One arm tucked lazily behind his head, his chest rising and falling in deep, careless sleep. Strands of dark hair fell over his forehead, one brushing the sharp line of his jaw. Moonlight streamed in through the window, painting him in silver, sculpting every hard angle and line until he looked almost unreal. Untouchable.
My wolf stirred, pressing closer, eyes drinking him in. My heart tingled, traitorous and restless, as I found myself staring. He was just… too sexy. My eyes went on his pants.
Wait, what the hell was I looking at? I shook my head sharply. Had I become a pervert after what happened between us in that cave?
“Ronan,” I marched over and shook his arm.
He didn’t move. Not even a twitch.
“Ronan, get up! Go to your bed!” I growled, shaking him harder, but he remained completely unbothered, his lashes resting against his cheek as though I wasn’t even there.
My lips curved in a frustrated twitch. “So you’re not going to wake up, huh?”
I grabbed the nearest pillow, ready to smack him with it, but before I could swing his hand shot out and yanked me down against his chest.
I gasped, eyes going wide as his own opened, gleaming with sleep but dangerously aware. His face was suddenly only an inch from mine, his breath warm across my lips.
“You smell so good after a shower,” he murmured, his nose brushing against mine.
Heat rushed into my cheeks, my gaze darting anywhere but his. “Go to your own bed. I’m too tired to play with you.”
“Then let’s sleep together.”
Before I could protest, he pulled me down beside him, his strong arm wrapping around my waist, and holding me close. Our bodies pressed flush, and my heart nearly leapt out of my chest. So this was his plan all along? I pressed a hand to his chest, trying to push him back, though my pulse betrayed me. “Why together?!”
Even if what happened between us in the cave was close to sex, I had never shared a bed with a man before. This man wasn’t just anyone, he was Ronan, a wolf who never bothered to mask his hunger for me. Sharing a bed with him was nothing short of dangerous. And if we slept together then he might stop at my thighs.
“Go to your own bed! Mine is too small for both of us!”
“I can’t. My bedsheets are dirty,” he replied easily.

I blinked at him, dumbfounded. That was his excuse?
When my expression clearly said, ‘Are you serious?‘
he added smoothly… “I accidentally spilled coffee on it earlier.”
I narrowed my eyes. “Coffee doesn’t spill across an entire sheet, Ronan. Just change it and sleep on the clean side. Your bed is already big enough.”
“I can’t sleep with the smell of coffee around me,” he instantly countered, voice dead serious.
I blankly stared at him, then I blinked twice… then three times. Could this man be more ridiculous? He drank coffee almost every day, his breath usually carried the scent of it, and now suddenly, he couldn’t stand the smell?
“Then you sleep on my bed. I’ll take yours,” I tried to pull away, but his arm tightened around my waist, chaining me against his chest.
“Why bother when we can share one bed? Saves energy.”
“T–that’s not possible!” For the first time in front of anyone, I found myself stammering.
“Why not?” His lashes lowered, blinking at me with mock innocence. “Are you suddenly shy after what we did in the cave?”
My heart kicked wildly as I tried to explain. “A man and woman…in the same bed…just sleeping, it’s not possible!”
The corner of his lips curved, a dangerous smirk. “Funny, I really did intend to sleep…but it seems you have something dirty and naughty in your head,” his voice dropped low, and before I could respond, he leaned down and captured my lips.
My breath hitched. His mouth devoured mine like I was something sweet he couldn’t resist, his tongue sliding against mine with intoxicating ease. Heat rushed through me, drowning all thought. My inexperience showed, but my lips followed his instinctively, clumsily, desperately.
His hand slid up the back of my neck, fingers tracing fire into my skin. Our breaths tangled, our tongues entwined. He kissed me with a hunger that felt like he’d been starving for days.
Then his fist tangled in my hair, tugging my head back with a rough gentleness. My gasp broke into a moan as his lips left mine, trailing down my jaw. His teeth grazed my skin, biting softly before his mouth slid lower… down my throat…and finally to my collarbone.
The butterflies in my belly exploded. Heat pooled low between my thighs, a ticklish, burning ache that made me shiver. But the moment his lips brushed my collarbone, and he slid his hand between my legs while his fingers traced over my panties teasing my clit, my eyes snapped open. Reality hit me like ice water.
I shoved my hand against his chest, pushing him back. “R–Ronan…”
My chest heaved, pulse thundering in my ears.. His own breathing was harsh, his eyes glowing with his wolf’s desire, raw and untamed.
“Y–you said…just sleeping,” I whispered, trying to steady my trembling voice. Without waiting for his reply, I turned, curling up away from him with my back pressed tight. My heart slammed against my ribs. I knew, if I stayed in this bed with him, there would be no just sleeping. Crossing that line would lead to more trouble
than I could ever afford..
