It’s almost been a week since Maybelline and David Willard both turned fat. Just like Osvaldo had said, both people have not stopped farting even for a second.
At this stage, they both stayed in the hospital while the doctors tried to stop the problem with them. Though they have found nothing wrong with them.
Medically, there was nothing in their body making them fart, except the excess weight they gained overnight. They had adviced them to try to lose a little weight and have tried helping them with some drugs and injections, but nothing seems to be working.
It seems no one is that intelligent to help them. How can Penny be this smart to do such to them. Today was Val’s day, and rather than spending it out as usual, they were stuck in the hospital where every nurse and doctors scrunch their noses as they stepped in.
This was the worst year for Maybelline. From trying to end Penny, she had ended herself.
The other families that Osvaldo had destroyed were not allowed access into the Adkins home anymore. Which meant their lives would be over because Osvaldo had ruined them all.
However, in the penthouse...
The morning sun slipped through the curtains in soft ribbons of gold, but Penny had been awake long before. Her heart thudded against her ribs as she tiptoed around the bedroom, clutching the little velvet box she’d hidden beneath her pillow for days now.
A soft smile hung on her lips as she stared at the gift box.
Today was Valentine’s Day. The day for lovers, and like every girl, she had once dreamed in the past celebrating this day with someone she loves and right now, Osvaldo fit perfectly into that category.
Though her mad hubby had no idea what that even meant. To him, every day was a day to make enemies pay and protect her at all costs while also getting rid of the danger growing in her.
He has given prepared different herbs and have given Hughes to give her, but for some reason, the child seems to be so stubborn.
To Penny, however, it was a day meant for love, soft, simple, and shared. And this time, she wanted to show him what her heart felt, not just what her lips whispered when they argued or cried into his arms.
Not just the regular I love yous. She wanted to teach Osvaldo what love was.
"Penguin, what are you hiding?" His voice, still thick with sleep, drifted across the room calmly.
Penny jumped, nearly dropping the box. She shoved it behind her back, cheeks heating. "Nothing. You’re not supposed to ask questions today."
He sat up slowly, the sheet sliding from his bare shoulders, his golden eyes watching her like she was the only thing that mattered in the world. "You’re blushing," he noted, amused.
"Stop it." She pouted, but inside, her nerves twisted into knots. "Just... get dressed. I have plans."
"Plans?" His brow furrowed. "What kind of plans?"
"The kind where you listen to me for once." She gave him a firm look, surprising even herself. "Don’t argue, Osvaldo. It’s Valentine’s Day, and I want it to be special."
He didn’t understand, she could see it in his face. But he leaned back against the headboard, lips twitching with that rare, almost boyish smile. "Fine. Do what you want, Penguin."
Penny hesitated a little, pressing her lips together before moving towards me. She wanted to do it the traditional way, the way she had always wished for. Though now, she was doing a man’s work.
"Will you be my Val Mr Val?" He smiled pulling her into the bed as he hopped on her.
"What is that supposed to mean Penguin?" Osvaldo asked with a smile.
"Don’t ask questions, just say yes or no." Penny muttered.
"I’ll say yes if you kiss me." He teased to see her frown a little.
"Fine." She raised her face and perked his lips.
---
By evening, the Adkins estate no longer looked like the home of the mad ruthless heir. Penny had worked with the staff, just this once, to decorate the hall with fairy lights and crimson roses. A long table stretched across the room, dressed in white linen, candles flickering warmly in the center.
It wasn’t extravagant. It wasn’t something the world would envy. But it was hers. The first dinner date she had ever planned in her life.
She had sent her father and cousins out of the mansion telling them to go get lover since it was Valentine and that she wanted to spend the day with Osvaldo.
Xavier and his boys didn’t argue. While Pascal and Lio went out with their dates, Kael joined his uncle at the office to spend time with work and Darlington just had to leave to somewhere.
He has been dealing with his personal problems recently, and didn’t want to get bothered by anything else. Maybe that is why he hadn’t noticed his daughter in law was a few weeks gone already.
