Chapter 135
“Darion, this is it.”
A luxury sedan stopped at an intersection.
Darion looked suspiciously at the narrow, old bluestone alleyway, his brow furrowed. “Are you sure?”
Why would the Boss be in a place like this?
There was even a traditional open-air wet market next to it, with old men and women haggling over prices.
Darion hadn’t been to a place like this since he entered the business world.
Assistant Bell said, “It is indeed Clearwater Lane.
Or were you looking for someone at the hospital across the street, Darion?”
“The hospital?
No, no,
no.”
Darion pointed to the alleyway. “This is it. As long as the place is right.”
The Boss would never go to a hospital. She’s lazy and hates the smell of blood.
As he spoke, Darion jumped out of the car, followed by a line of bodyguards in black suits.
With that kind of presence, anyone who didn’t know him would think he was a gangster, radiating a thuggish aura.
Even though Darion was smiling, he didn’t look like a good person. “Sir, may I ask, do you know where the Silverleaf
is?”
Old Man Burke, who was shopping, shivered and swerved his cart away. “I don’t know!”
Darion paused, touched his face, and asked Assistant Bell, “Am I that scary?”
“Your presence is too powerful, Darion.”
Assistant Bell, ever the business school graduate, chose his words impeccably.
Darion smacked his lips and smiled. “That old man definitely knows. Follow him.”
Of course, Old Man Burke knew. The Silverleaf was right across from his home. He had just gotten fish from An- nelise this morning. He had to hurry back and tell Annelise that bad guys were here!
The bodyguards in black looked menacing, and the old folks sorting vegetables were all watching.

Stephan, who had followed them, hurriedly paid his taxi fare, only to realize this was none other than the run-down narrow alleyway where his old mother lived.
“Why would Darion come to a place like this?”
Stephan couldn’t figure it out. He muttered to himself as he walked forward quickly.
He had arrived late, after all, and didn’t know if Darion had actually entered the narrow alleyway, so he just hid near the Alphard.
Darion had to come out sooner or later anyway!
At the very end of the narrow alleyway, Annelise had just packed up her equipment and was still sitting on a wooden chair, texting.
For the past two days, the Moderator would contact her as soon as her stream ended, and this time was no exception.
Moderator 007: I see you haven’t shown your face. How about considering a face reveal at five million followers as a treat for the fans? It would also be a gimmick to increase Virtual Gifting.
Annelise: Not considering it. Not interested.
Moderator 007: Al Braun…right, I respect that. Every streamer has their own brand. The cybercrime division said they have something else they need your help with…
Annelise sent a screenshot: This is evidence I captured during my live stream. Give it to the cybercrime division. The medical examiner will be able to analyze it.
Moderator 007: …
Is this new streamer really that amazing? She even knew what the cybercrime division needed.
Moderator 007: About the Exclusive Patronage, we can add a special badge. Should I add one for that Titan Tier sup- porter in your live stream channel?
Annelise thought about it. That “Young Master Yin” had spent money, and the customer is always right. Without ask- ing what the badge looked like, she replied while busy, “Okay, thanks.”
Moderator 007: By the way, there’s one more thing. I didn’t know you didn’t want to show your face, so I signed you up for the platform’s annual awards. I saw the prize money was big and the exposure was great, and I wanted to give you a boost.
Annelise: I saw that. It’s fine. Thanks for your hard work.
