Chapter 50
In your dreams!
“Annelise!
How could you talk about Dr. Miracle like that!”
Madam Whitman ‘s face showed her disapproval: “He’s what you call a true master who doesn’t show off.”
With that, she hugged her phone, watching and admiring, a total fangirl.
Annelise pressed her fingertips to her brow, completely exasperated.
She had practiced medicine for years, and this was probably the worst blow to her reputation ever: “Grandma, this is obviously fake.”
“Fake?”
Madam Whitman pushed up her monogram print glasses, wanting to get a closer look.
Annelise supported her by the arm. “Don’t worry, I won’t cause any trouble.”
“I’m not worried about you causing trouble.”
Madam Whitman sighed. “It’s that my bad reputation will drag you down. When you go, don’t mention the Silverleaf Clinic. I’ll have an old friend’s grandson take you, so you can look out for each other. It’s best to avoid the Kendrick family…”
Avoid the Kendrick family?
Then what would be the point of me going?
But Annelise didn’t say that to her grandmother; she just smiled and said, “Okay.”
Everything was as it always was.
Only Seven knew that the Kendrick family was about to be completely wiped out.
Because before bed, Annelise had said, “I’ll hack into the national defense system with you and report what you’ve found.”
“Mhm!”
Seven nodded!
Meanwhile, at the magnificent Kendrick estate.

Chapter 50
“Now that we have the Etherhart Herb, even the Winthrop family is treating us with new respect.”
Rosalie Kendrick held the ornate box, her face beaming.
Benjamin Howard sat beside her, flattering her. “You’re the one with the real skills, Master.”
Everyone in the Kendrick family was reveling in the moment.
“Now we just wait for the conference to start!”
“The Kendrick family will definitely make a huge splash then!”

Just then, Charles Kendrick, the Kendrick family’s eldest son and heir, looked grim. “What in the world happened to Leo’s arm? Haven’t you fixed it yet?”
His son just went out to deliver something and dislocated his arm. It won’t pop back in no matter what we do.
This made it hard for Charles to feel happy.
Rosalie waved it off. “Brother, I’ve already checked on Leo. It’s nothing serious. He’ll be fine by tomorrow.”
“But…” Charles started to say.
At that moment, a deep, elderly voice spoke up. “Charles, don’t fuss over such a trivial matter.”
The speaker was the true head of the Kendrick family, the Patriarch, Cornelius Kendrick.
He was over a hundred, slightly stooped with a full head of white hair, but his eyes were grim, like a snake hiding in the shadows.
“Dad!”
Charles and Rosalie were both startled. “Why are you back?
Weren’t you busy in Brookford?”
The Patriarch didn’t answer, instead waving his sleeve to dismiss the servants.
When only family was left in the villa, he struck his cane heavily on the floor. “If I hadn’t come back, the Kendrick family would have already collapsed!”
Rosalie and Charles flinched.
The Patriarch slowly opened his eyes. “Do you realize someone in Criford is investigating our family?”
