After knowing Who She Is They Kneeled novel Chapter 82

Chapter 82

If they were going to rebuild Silverleaf, they couldn’t be short on medicinal herbs.

Criford was on the border of two provinces. It was humid with dense bushes. If you could find foraged wild mush- rooms, you could naturally find other things, like Wild Mushrooms and Wild Ginseng.

Seven loved these two things the most. He followed their scent and went right for them.

Most ordinary people live off the land.

Usually, finding three or four Wild Ginseng Roots was considered a good haul. But these two went and cleared out half the mountainside.

On their way down, they ran into a mushroom picker who got up early to search the mountain, Isabela Braun.

The mushroom picker was surprised, seeing someone who came even earlier than her. “It’s still dark out. How are you two little kids so brave!”

You know, even though it’s safe everywhere now and most animals are penned up, they won’t just pop out.

But this is a wild mountain. There’s even a sign at the bottom telling people not to come up. What are these two do- ing? They can’t be those… what do you call them online… backpackers, right?

Seven was yawning, but he perked up when he heard someone talking. He looked up. “Huh?”

“Is he mute?”

Isabela meant no harm. She walked closer with her flashlight and asked the older girl, “Is your family short on mon- ey? Is that why you’re here picking foraged wild mushrooms?”

Annelise smiled faintly. “Yeah.”

Isabela sighed. “This is just reckless. Come with me, I’ll take you two down. There are wolves on this mountain.

Wolves?

Seven straightened up, his eyes shining.

But Annelise frowned. “There are wolves?”

“You bet there are.”

Isabela raised her flashlight. “I don’t know how they ended up here. If you want to pick foraged wild mushrooms in the future, go to the mountain closer to the city center. It’s safer there.”

place out.

Annelise replied, “Okay, we understand. Thank you, ma’am.”

“You’re welcome. Are you brother and sister?”

The mushroom picker said as they walked, “You don’t look very old. Where are your parents?”

What kind of parents would let these two kids go up the mountain in the middle of the night? They’re really amassing bad karma.

Annelise gave a faint smile. “We don’t have parents. We live with our grandmother.”

“Then you two should get back home soon.’

The more Isabela heard, the more her heart ached for them. “If your grandmother knew you came here, she’d worry herself to death!”

Annelise motioned for Seven to put on his bag, her smile never fading. “You’re right.”

“If things are really tough at home, you should apply for aid. The policies are better now, they won’t let kids like you suffer. That’s how my daughter got through school.”

Isabela walked them to the mountain pass. “Alright, it’s safe from here. Follow that small path down, and you’ll reach the main road. Don’t come back here again, okay?”

Annelise looked at her face reading and didn’t leave right away. Instead, she chuckled lightly, “Ma’am, my family ac- tually runs a clinic. I came here to gather some herbal remedies for my grandmother. Her old legs aren’t what they used to be.”

“Gathering herbal remedies?”

Isabela was stunned. “This… but you just said…”
