Alexander’s POV

I watched Summer’s eyes widen at my question, her lips parting slightly in surprise.

Knotting was sacred among our kind–the deepest connection an alpha could form with his mate, and often led to creating new life.

“Are you sure?” Summer whispered, her fingers tracing the contour of my jaw. “That’s… that’s a big step, Alexander.”

Summer’s hand slid to the back of my neck, pulling me down for a kiss that conveyed everything words couldn’t. When she pulled away, her eyes had darkened with determination and desire.

“Yes,” she whispered against my lips. “I want your knot, Alexander. I want to try for a family with you.”

A growl of approval rumbled from my chest as I claimed her mouth again, our wolves surging forward with primal hunger. Summer’s legs wrapped around my waist as I positioned myself at her entrance,
