The crowd dispersed instantly, everyone scrambling to avoid the Alpha’s wrath like small prey fleeing a predator’s hunting grounds.
In moments, the vast deck was nearly empty, an eerie silence settling over the remaining few individuals.
“It was him…” The young female attendant pointed with a trembling finger toward the lackey under Jeremy’s foot, tears streaking her face. “He hit Miss and called her horrible names…”
The lackey, having just witnessed Alpha Reid get his tendons severed before his eyes, had been trying to make himself invisible. Just when he thought he might escape notice, the accusation fell on him like a death sentence.
His face drained of all color, resembling a corpse more than a living man. “You little bitch! What lies are you spreading? Which eye saw me hit anyone?”
The girl’s voice quavered, “I… I saw it with both my eyes…”
Fuck!!
This can’t be happening!!
While silently cursing, the lackey frantically denied everything. “Listen you little whore, you’ll pay for lying. You must have confused me with the Alpha Reid.”
Desperate to avoid death, he cut the girl off before she could speak again, turning to Alexander with pleading eyes. “Bro, listen to me, I swear I never laid a hand on her.”
“It was the Alpha Reid who hit her, not me! Take your anger out on him and spare me, please.”
“I swear I’ll serve you like a loyal wolf, follow your every command. Just say the word and I’m yours.”
The young attendant flinched at being called such vile names repeatedly, but hearing the lackey trying to escape punishment spurred her forward despite her fear. Bad wolves deserved punishment–otherwise they’d just continue harming innocent she–wolves. Besides, she had witnessed him striking Sarah with her own eyes.
“Sir, it was definitely him,” she insisted firmly.
“I saw everything with my own eyes. You must believe me.”
“And Miss knows the truth better than anyone–ask her yourself.”
Alexander’s gaze grew deadly, his voice dropping to a bone–chilling growl. “Cripple him.”
Jeremy responded with a casual smile. “Right away, Alpha.‘
The command hit the lackey like an explosion in his skull, shattering any remaining hope of escape.
He began frantically kowtowing, begging, “I was wrong! I’ll never dare again!”
“Big brother, sir, please spare me!”

Alexander didn’t spare him another glance, his contempt absolute.
With one hand in his pocket, he gripped Sarah’s wrist with the other, pulling her away from the scene.
“Miss!” the young Omega cried out, hurrying after them.
Why was he taking her, looking so furious?
Did he think that woman had done something wrong?
But… she was the one who helped her.
The Omega’s heart pounded. She opened her mouth, ready to explain-
And then he turned.
Alexander’s gaze landed on her like a blade of ice, sharp and merciless.
The color drained from her face as she stumbled back.
She didn’t dare say another word.

Sarah’s POV
What the hell just happened?
Just moments ago, he was checking my wrist, asking if I was hurt.
His hands were careful. His voice–quiet, almost gentle.
And now?
Now he was dragging me across the deck like I was nothing. No explanation. No warning. Just that cold, unreadable look on his face.
Was it something I said? Something I did?
I didn’t understand.
And the worst part was… a small, stupid part of me had actually thought he cared.
But whatever softness I’d imagined was gone–replaced by fingers digging into my skin like shackles.
I protested loudly, “Alexander, could you ease up a bit? You’re hurting my wrist!”
“Can’t you be gentler? I’m a woman, you know. Why are you being so rough?”
Alexander ignored my complaints entirely, dragging me back to his cabin and shoving me unceremoniously into
the bathroom.
“Wash that stench off you. Now!” His voice was cold as ice, those beautiful, narrow eyes filled with contempt and disgust. “You’re filthy.”

I blinked, stunned by his words. “Hey, wait a minute…”

“You were pretty gentle when you touched my face earlier, when you saw I was hurt.“I crossed my arms, trying to hold on to some shred of dignity.
“Why the sudden change? Why so angry and aggressive now? Alexander, are all you Alpha males this moody and unpredictable?”
“BANG!!” The bathroom door slammed shut with such force the entire frame shuddered.
I pushed the door open again, calling after him with forced cheer,“Alexander, violence doesn’t solve problems, you know.”
Alexander reached out and slammed the door shut again.
The edge caught my forehead, making me wince in pain. “Alpha Alexander, you violent brute!!”
Alexander didn’t respond, his footsteps fading away outside the door.
Fine, fine, I waved my hand dismissively.Alexander’s temper had always flared—especially with unfamiliar she
-wolves.
You’d think I’d be used to it by now.
Besides, Alexander didn’t remember me anymore.
But did he have to slam the door with so much force? My forehead throbbed painfully. It was probably swollen
and red.
I hurried to the sink and examined my reflection in the mirror. Sure enough, my cheeks and forehead were terribly swollen, tender to the slightest touch.
Well, considering he just came to my rescue, I supposed I could let this slide.
As my emotions settled, my senses sharpened again–especially my sense of smell.
