“There are several maids in Joaquin’s house. Can’t they take care of a child?”
“I’ve said it already. If you’re so curious, go ask Joaquin yourself!” She took Lina’s hand and quickly walked toward the door. “I have other things to do, so I won’t be keeping you company.”
Without waiting for a response, Romina pulled Lina inside the house.
Jericho watched her back as she entered, his eyes growing darker than ever.
She wanted him to go ask Joaquin…
To trouble Joaquin over such a trivial matter–he probably wouldn’t even bother with him!
When Romina got home, she saw Elliana resting on the sofa. “You’re back?”
“Yes, Auntie Elliana!”
Lina ran over and hugged Elliana’s arm, a faint smile appearing on her face.
Romina took the child to bathe, and when they came out, she saw Elliana still sitting on the sofa, look- ing at her phone.
She walked over, curious: “It’s getting late. Why aren’t you resting yet?”
“You came at the right time. I have a relative who’s not feeling well. She wants you to take a look at her. When will your wellness clinic open?”
“It’ll open in two days.” Romina looked at her curiously. “What’s wrong with your relative?”
“Her condition is similar to Sir Bowman’s–she has trouble breathing. Conventional medicine hasn’t worked very well, so I was hoping you could help.”
“Of course! Once the clinic opens, just have her come see me there. I’ll take a look at her.”
“Alright.” Elliana nodded, then changed the subject: “How’s your shop coming along? Is the renovation
finished?”
“Yes, it’s almost done, Auntie will come tomorrow to clean up, and once that’s sorted, we’ll be ready to open.”

Elliana asked curiously, “Have you hired anyone yet?”
Romina replied calmly, “There will be interviews tomorrow.”
“Then choose carefully and find yourself a capable assistant…”
Romina smiled gently, not responding.
The next morning.

Several people came to the wellness clinic for interviews today. Romina only planned to hire one natur- opathic doctor for now, and would consider adding more staff once the clinic was running smoothly.
She interviewed several candidates, but only one young man caught her eye.
The young man wasn’t very old, but his medical skills were impressive, and he was tall and handsome.
When he walked in, Romina felt as if a refreshing breeze had entered the room–he was both clean and
cheerful.
Miguel Porter.
When Romina saw his name, she couldn’t help but smile.
It was a poetic name, just like his personality–gentle, yet with a hidden edge.
Romina asked him several questions, and he answered almost all of them well. When it came to practi- cal skills, he was unexpectedly professional.
“Very good. If you think it’s fine, you can start tomorrow!”
Miguel nodded readily: “Sure, Ms. Sandoval.”
“Just call me Romi from now on.”
Miguel smiled lightly: “Then I’ll call you Romi from now on!”
“Alright.”
Romina nodded gently and walked him to the door.
Miguel had just pushed open the main door when he met a pair of cold, piercing eyes.
The man was dressed in a black suit, his well–defined hand raised as if about to open the door.
Miguel paused for a moment when he saw him, then nodded politely and looked away.
