Chapter 9
All of a sudden, Keane remembered something. “Oh, and one more thing.”
He unlocked his phone and showed Lucius a short video. “This was taken at Absolute Zero yesterday.”
In the clip, a masked, long-haired woman worked swiftly, administering acupuncture to an unconscious man. The clip was only ten seconds long and offered no real clue to what had happened.
Short as it was, Lucius still recognized the woman.
Pointing at his phone, Keane continued, “This video’s all over the internet. Everyone’s trying to find the young woman who saved the man with acupuncture. The man she helped is the fourth son of the Miller family. He has a congenital heart condition and almost died when it flared up last night.
“The doctors said he didn’t survive because he was lucky. It was because of the needles placed in the acupoints on his chest.”
The more he continued, the more animated he became. “Mr. White, don’t you
woman in the video looks a lot like Ms. Collins?”
Lucius suppressed his astonishment. “What exactly are you trying to say?”

“Mr. White, you recruited Ms. Woodward for her unparalleled hacking skills, hoping that she could help track down Phantom Healer to treat Mrs. White. But Phantom Healer’s
whereabouts and identity are a mystery. Unless you’re in the same circle, you’d never find him.
“If Ms. Collins is well-versed in traditional medicine, she might know something about
Phantom Healer. We could sound her out for clues.”
Before Lucius could respond, a housekeeper’s voice came from outside the door. “Ms. Woodward is here, Mr. White.”
It was Sonia’s first time at Azure Bay. The neighborhood was so exclusive that even the Woodward family, as influential as they were in Windmere, had no right to live there.
As she waited in the living room, unease settled over her. A lot had happened overnight.
Jay’s condition had deteriorated because he missed the best window for a kidney transplant and was now in the ICU. Several doctors had also been taken away by the cops for investigation.
Skyler and Marnie, sensing something was wrong, sent her to sound out Lucius.
After waiting for nearly 20 minutes, Lucius and Kane finally came out.
Sonia hurriedly rose from her seat and greeted Lucius. “Mr. White.”
Then, she flashed Keane a bright smile. “Mr. Harris.”
Keane nodded politely. “I’ll take my leave, Mr. White.”
After seeing him off, Lucius turned to Sonia. “What brings you here?”
Sonia was about to explain when she noticed a blue-blooded serpent, roughly 6 foot 7 inches long, slithering across the polished floor from the other side of the room toward them.
