Chapter 17

Chloe’s face turned red as she struggled against Ryan’s grip on her neck, her hands slapping at his

wrist.

Noshe gasped.

Ryan smirked cruelly, suddenly releasing his hold. Never mention her in front of me again. You’re not worthy!

And wasn’t this the outcome you were hoping for?

He coldly abandoned her in the hospital and returned home.

Chloe spent several days in the hospital without anyone visiting her.

When she was discharged, she returned to the Silvermoon Pack’s house, where Olivia was already waiting in the living room.

Back already? Are you feeling better?Olivia’s unexpected concern made Chloe pause.

Yeah, better,Chloe replied, her voice flat.

Ryan remained silent, lazily lounging on the couch.

He seemed more worn down than before. Only he knew the truthevery passing day, his longing

for Tessa grew stronger, and his wolf was becoming more restless.

Chloe, exhausted, started to head to her room, but Ryan called out sharply, halting her.

What are you doing?he asked.

Going to my room, she answered wearily.

Ryan closed his eyes and smirked.

Room? There’s no room for you here anymore.

Chloe froze, her eyes fixed on them.

What do you mean?she asked, a tremor in her voice.

Literally what I said. There’s no room for you here. Can’t you understand that?

Ryan’s words were cold, unrelenting.

Chloe laughed bitterly. Don’t forget, you’ve already acknowledged me as your Luna in front of the pack. You’ve marked me.

Olivia looked at her with mild disinterest, then stood up, still wearing her smile.

Chloe, we are here to talk about removing that mark.

Chloe understood her position all too well. With no child, she had no value to them anymore.

But she wasn’t ready to give up.

Ryan had coldly killed her child.

She never imagined he would go that far, especially compared to the tenderness he once showed.

Now, she realized she had been the one deceived all along.

Chloe refused to let go of the Luna position, but Olivia spoke bluntly.

Even if you continue to cling to Ryan and insist on being our Luna, we won’t accept you anymore. We’ll expel you from the pack.

But if you agree to relinquish the Luna position and remove the mark, we might give you some

money.

It was an ultimatum, a choice that forced Chloe into a corner.

Chloe, not holding back, responded sharply. Don’t forget, you’re the ones who made me lose my child. You’ll have to answer for it!

I’ll report everything to the Royals if I have to!

Her threats had no weight. Olivia and Ryan barely paid her any mind.

Seeing them disregard her, Olivia motioned for the servants to start packing Chloe’s things and throwing them out.

Ryan just watched quietly, not offering any help.

Chloe, realizing there was no turning back, panicked and rushed to stop them.

What are you doing? These are my things!” she cried.

The servants ignored her and continued their task, dumping her belongings outside.

Chloe realized it was over.

I agree! Give me the money, and I’ll give up the Luna position!she said desperately.

Ryan stood up slowly, his expression unreadable.

Should have done this sooner,he muttered.

He immediately went to the pack elders and had the mark removed with a silver knife.

By the time Chloe realized what had happened and came back for the money, Olivia was already

resolute.
