98 Parker The moment hed been mind linked by Axel that something was wrong with Belladonnas eyes , and told where she was , hed been up and gone from his office .

It did surprise him a little that she was up on the Alpha floor , but it wasnt completely odd at the same time .

Shed lived up there once .

She was still coming down the hallway , and he saw what Axel had reported to him , the bright blue that was now around the pupils of her eyes .

She was upset as well .

He could see it for himself .

That bothered him a lot , for not once in all the time hed known her had she ever cried .

Not in her coming here , not in him marking and mating her , not in her rejecting him , or leaving the pack .

Nothing upset her , couldnt he didnt think , with the exception of her children , due to her disconnection from everyone and everything around her .

He could do nothing for her right that moment either , nothing but try and comfort her , so he pulled her into his chest and hugged her , tried to convey everything would be alright , that even if she lost Freya , he would still be there for her .

She would still be the same person to him , to Vex .

Because Freya had never let them see her or mate her and although it was sad to hear those words come from her , it wasnt going to change who she was .

She was a doctor , a mother of two and the woman he loved .

Nothing would ever change that for him .

He sat her down in his office and got her that cup of tea , then sat in front of her .

He had been about to tell her theyd figure it out and find something to tell Whit and Milly, but when he looked at her , her eyes were back to being just dark blue .

Belladonna , your eyes are normal once more , he told her .

All dark blue .

W … What ? she got up after putting her tea down and went to his bathroom .

He followed her and watched her stare at herself , really look at herself for a long moment before turning to him I dont understand .

Did I imagine it ? she asked .

No , Axel and Bridgit both saw it .

I saw it myself , he answered , and guided her back to the couch in his office .

What happened upstairs ? he asked .

I dont know .

She shook her head .

I only know Freya requested that I stay here until the triplets are born , not to leave the pack .

Mm , Axel and Bridgit are having triplets .

She nodded .

He stated simply Do you know that while we were mated to each other , there wasnt a single miscarriage to go along with the no deaths of pups or she wolves .

Bridgit has had two miscarriages since you left as well .

he was trying to tell her his thoughts and think it out at the same time .

She sighed heavily , Not your fault Belladonna.

I also think something is wrong with Freya .

Ive never felt that much aggression come from her before .

It felt almost like rage , I , would think .

She nodded Ive never felt that much anger before … but … and then she frowned deeply .

As she thought about something , he sat and waited .

She needed a minute , and he wanted her to think about it and be able to talk to him about it as well .

Though he was now having his own thoughts on the matter , shed stated she thought Freya was dying , or leaving me , had been her words , but hed understood what that had meant .

Maybe Freya was leaving Belladonna , and what had just been felt by her and him was her actual wolf , and it was in a filthy rage .

Likely if Freya was Belladonnas mothers wolf , and had over ridden her own beast , it had been locked away inside Belladonna and for a very long time .

That creature would want out and maybe had , for the first time ever , had some semblance of control .

The eye colour was likely her wolfs eyes .

As it tried to push to the surface for the first time .

Though Belladonnas tears and the crying bothered him , shed not cried ever , not once shed stated , that was odd for anybody .

But maybe Freya stopped her from feeling everything , contained all of Belladonnas emotions and if that was the case , it wasnt going to be good when she got them all back .

Belladonna was likely going to be extremely or overly emotional , wrung out by them when they all hit her .

If Freya did leave her completely , she might not even be able to control her emotions at all over the next few days or weeks .

How do you feel ? he asked curiously .
