99 Belladonna She couldnt rouse Freya at all now .

There was not even a flicker of movement , Bella was trying to wake her to get answers but got nothing at all .

Freya had told her she would tell her about her mother when it was time , but now her wolf was slumbering in such a deep sleep that nothing , not even Bella yelling at her to wake up , made an ear twitch .

Parker she felt had maybe guessed correctly , because although Freya was slumbering there was a presence inside her mind , it was heavy to her , and angry at times .

Shed never really felt angry before, just that one time inside Astons office , and it had shocked everyone , though that day also felt like it was Freya that was angry .

She now wondered if it had been ? Bella had an overwhelming desire to go and find her children , to lay eyes upon them .

She got up and left Parkers office to do so .

They werent all that hard to find .

She could sense them and b line them with her family bond .

They were in the entertainment zone .

She watched both Whit and Milly play for a full minute and felt happiness roll out of that darkness inside her mind .

It wasnt just happiness , it was also love , and she realised at that very moment Parker was going to be right .

There was another beast within her and right now that desire to see her children .

It wasnt exactly hers , but came from the darkness within her mind .

Freya had stated Whit was not hers and that was because she now realised , he wasnt .

He was Bella and her own beasts ; a beast that Freya repressed and confined , had complete control over and though there was love coming from that darkness inside her mind .

When Bella tried to reach for it and connect to it , she couldnt .

She found Freya between her and the other living within her .

Shed never known the truth until right this very minute : Freya was not her wolf .

When she thought about it , it was also likely that Freya may not have even been her mothers wolf either .

Not if Freya could just possess a wolfen folk at will .

There was going to be something about her own wolf , its type of wolf she now thought , that was going to see others want to use and likely abuse her .

She bit her lip at that thought .

What if Freya left and that all came to pass now .

What if she was seen and used and abused , turned into whatever her mother had been? Bella shuddered at the possibilities of what that meant and turned away from her children and went right back to Parkers office .

She had a need to talk to him , he seemed to be able to 1/4 < 99 +3 Points > understand or think things through about her .

Hed also never once hurt her , and he was trying to figure it all out as well .

But Freya didnt seem to have trusted him , like she had Aston .

There was a difference between the two men , and she was even willing to bet what it was .

Parker went out and took over other packs , started and engaged in wars .

Which looked to Freya like he was power hungry.

Whereas Aston was laid back , and his pack grew by itself , without the need to try and grow it , the man had never held mating balls to grow his pack , until the Wolfen Council had made him , and even then hed fought against it .

That she knew was going to be the difference between them .

Parker looked at her as she walked into his office and over to him .

Parker , can you tell me what you want for this pack ? she asked him plainly .

To grow and expand it ? For it to just be happy and healthy … Do you desire to take over more packs in the future ? He raised an eyebrow at her and then leaned back in his chair .

I want for my wolves to be safe , I dont need nor desire to go in and take over other packs .

Though it does look like I want that to others .

My reputation leads other packs to believe that , and that is something I let them all think in order to keep my pack safe .

Why ? he asked in return .

War ? she asked .

I dont like it , I dont want it , but it is unfortunately necessary to go to , in order to aid my allies .

If I didnt have to ever go to war again , that would be a true blessing , he stated .

That is the difference between you and Aston .

I know youd never hurt me , were always loyal , Parker , and so youre the same as Aston in that regard .

But you grew your pack through war , and my father he grew his pack through lies and deceit .

Freya saw your war party when you took me from that pack .

I think that is why you cant see her .

She hates war , is of the opinion that no wolves should go to war .
