Chapter 120

Aurora’s POV

CalebI don’t think it’s a good idea.I swallowed nervously as I watched the school gates approach from a distance. Maybe I should va pot stayed

behind

Aurayou promised to be there for my game.Caleb turned to give me his puppy eyes, his lips pouting as he brought the car to a halt in his usual parking spot. Are you really going to go back on your promise?

I turned to face him, wondering how he he gave me those glossy eyes.

managed to maneuver the car right into the parking while still giving me that look, but I couldn’t help it when

Sighing, I reached forward on instinct and pressed my lips to his cheek, making Caleb freeze for a secondbefore a wide grin spread across his fare:

Can I bribe you with that and just stay in the car? This time, I was the one who pouted my lips and blinked innocently up at him, making Caleb throw back his head laughing.

No a chance,he chuckled, before unbuckling the seatbelt. You’ll be a lot more than a cheek kiss to convince me. So be my sweet little mate and come watch my game.

Damnit.I swore under my breath, but curse Caleb and his superb hearing because he gave out another laugh as he got off his car and came around to my side to hold the door open for me as he extended his hand.

I looked around wearingly. Is this really necessary? I could go in after you.

Absolutely not.He said sternly, although a smile still played on his lips. People need to know that who I have a relationship with is none of their business. You’re my mate, Aura. Remember that, no matter what anyone tells you.

Feeling my heart skip a beat at his words, I gladly accepted his handand hesitantly exited the car.

I was excited yet nervous as I looked around the familiar parking lot, my heart beating erratically inside my chest. I was dressed in brand new jeans and a blue top with golden designs that Caroline had chosen for me so it matched the Blue Hill jersey.

Now, Caroline skipped over to me along with Jade, the Blue Hill team goalkeeper, in a top similar to mine but instead of jeans, she had opted for a skirt instead. She had also managed to drive her own car here, despite protests from Jade and Caleb. But in the end, she had to compromise by letting Jade take the passenger seat.

Today was Caleb’s match against the Ellsworth High Football team. And he had invited me specially to watch the match. I had dreaded coming back to school, but since Caroline would be right next to me, I wasn’t afraid anymore.

It’s crowded.I swallowed nervously, looking at all the people heading towards the stadium. It was going to be a big match. I had never really been to any of the matches while I was still attending school, but I knew they were huge. Plus, I never really had money for the tickets.

It usually is.Caroline told me, wrapping an arm around my shoulder. You’re gonna love it. It’s really exciting.

You two should stick together at all times,Jade told us, swinging his gym bag over his shoulders. He had ditched the glasses and now, he looked like a completely different person. Aurora, stick close to Caroline and make sure you stay away from anyone in the Ellsworth High Football team.

Don’t worry, I’ll be there beside her.Caroline reassured him, but I could still see that the boys didn’t look convinced.

Why? Is there anything wrong?I asked, a bit worried. The Ellsworth High Football teamare they bad?

  1. g. But just any I wouldn’t say bad, but they are from another pack.Jade answered before Caleb, who let out a huff. Our packs aren’t enemies or other neighbouring pack sharing a border, there is tension between the two packs, especially between Caleb and their future Alpha, Len. He’s also the future Alpha of their pack. Look, There he is.

I turned around in the direction lade motioned and saw two boys exiting the bus that had just stopped at the entrance to the stadium. And that was when I spotted the boy; the one who had come to the restaurant that day when Caleb had suddenly turned cold towards me once again.
