"Should I remind you of it for the umpteenth time?" Kaden smirked, taking steady steps towards me with his jaw clenching hard. I stumbled back, my body trembling as I fought to steady my breathing.

"Kaden I...I..." My voice trailed off as my back met the cold wall. Kaden hovered over me, his silver orbs fixed deeply on mine, I tried to say something but my words got cut in my throat, all I could see was a man I love with my life. A man I would do anything for

"I asked you a fucking question, would you like me to spell it out again?" Kaden snapped, his silver eyes pinning me down. He smirked and took a step back, arms crossed over his chest.

My heart raced as my gaze shifted to his powerful arms, his muscles flexing with every movement, I quickly looked away, swallowing hard against the intense tingling that spread across my stomach

"Matilda, let me remind you one more time, that you are nothing but a nightmare," Kaden paused, dragging his tongue across his lips. "A nightmare who used some disgusting whorish trick all because she wanted to become Mrs. Donovan, just like you've always wanted, to wear the title."

I clenched my fist, swallowing the sudden lump that grew in my throat. "I didn't...,"

"Don't!" Kaden interrupted with a sharp voice. "The person you used and manipulated to get into this family is no more, the one who stood by you because of whatever you two had three years back is gone, he is dead, and it's time for you to get lost!"

"I never did it! Why can't you believe me?" I snapped, my voice breaking as more tears streamed down. "Everything I told you was the truth and that was how it happened!"

A scoff broke the tension, drawing my attention to Cherry, she was sprawled out on the bed like she was watching her favorite show, smiling as if she had already won. My stomach churned at the sight of her.

Kaden's voice broke through again, drawing my attention back to him.

"I never expected you to admit it. Matilda, I just want you to know that you are a whore and a disgusting liar and that is what you'll always be. Your time here is up, sign the fucking papers and leave, you have until 9 a.m. tomorrow, if you're still here after 9 am, I will have you thrown out."

Kaden's words slammed into me like a freight train, I blinked at him, lowering my head as I bit down on my lower lip, hard enough to draw blood. How much longer can I take this? How much longer will I be humiliated like this?

I took a deep breath, forcing myself to straighten up as I voiced out the most difficult sentence I had ever uttered in my 23 years of living

"If that's exactly what you want, I will leave!!" I said, barely audible.

Kaden's brows furrowed as he locked his gaze on mine. I should have known Kaden was never meant to be mine. I was such a fool to think that I could change that.

"I will sign the papers and be gone before 9," I said, my voice cracking as new tears streamed down my cheeks. Without looking at either of them, I grabbed the file and my phone from the bedside table and walked out of the room

"It's okay, Tilda, this is how it ends, he will never love you, and that's a fact, you couldn't even give him children, and he's expecting one from his mistress," I mumbled under my breath as I walked down the stairs, only to halt on my track as I met the gaze of my sister-in-law - well, ex-sister in-law to be.

"Hmm, it looks like Kaden did what he should have done to the disgusting slut a long time ago!" Loretta hissed, brushing past me with a mocking laugh.
