Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1002

Patrick did not care about whether he had his lunch or not. All he cared about was this question, "How long have they been in the cafe?"

The secretary subconsciously glanced at her wristwatch. After calculating the scenario in her mind, she decided to give a smaller amount for everyone's sake, "They were inside lesser than an hour!"

Patrick snorted and said, "One hour and thirty-nine minutes!"

The secretary felt a shiver down her spine. Since Mr. Hopper clearly knew about it, why did he have to ask her?

A test of loyalty was the most annoying thing to encounter!

Just when the secretary was aggrievedly biting her sleeve, Patrick snorted again. "Well, they have been talking for quite a long time!"

The secretary explained in a low voice, "That's because Madam Ramsay and Director Cook haven't seen each other for a long time. When old friends met each other, they couldn't help... Oh wait, they must've chatted for a long time without them

noticing it. But it's normal..."

Patrick squinted at her from the corner of his eyes. He stared at her and asked, "Tell me, what kind of benefits did you take from that Milton? Why are you speaking up for him like that?"

The secretary shrank her neck. "No, no, no..." Back then when Patrick and Amelia hid the news that they were married, the entire Roxxon Corporation thought that Amelia and Milton were a couple.

This was a kind of subconscious impression she got from her own conscious, so she could not go against her will and curse Milton for not knowing his place.

What was more, after some comparison, it was really obvious to the secretary that Director Cook was much suitable to be Amelia's husband.

However, she did not dare to say it out in front of Mr. Hopper no matter what.

The next second, the secretary heard what Patrick said, "Let's go."

"Alright!" The secretary responded. She gently patted the back of the chair in front of her and then issued an order, "Please go back to the company!"

"I'll be off work early today. So after five o'clock, don't make any appointment with anyone or anything for me." Patrick immediately gave his order.

"What?" The secretary was a little confused.

Patrick did not give her any reply.

After he finished speaking, he kept his eyes shut. No one knew whether he was really asleep or just pretending to be asleep.

The secretary immediately shut up and turned to look at the seafood bento. Nevertheless, no matter how hungry she was, she had to endure it as her boss had not eaten yet, so she would not dare to eat it.

In the blink of an eye, it was already six o'clock in the evening.

Amelia put her pen down, leaned on the back of the chair and stretched comfortably.

Audrey, who was beside her, smiled and said, "President Ramsay, it's time to get off work!"

Amelia took a glance at Andrea and said gently, "Well, you can go back first. I have got a few more things to deal with."

Audrey then said anxiously, "Please

don't, President Ramsay. I'm here to help you. If you kept doing things yourself what is the purpose of me being here?"

Amelia blinked at her and said regretfully. "I see. At first I wanted you to get off work earlier so you can spend your time looking for a boyfriend." "President Ramsay!" It never occurred to Audrey that Amelia would make fun of her again. She could not help stomping her feet and said, "President Ramsay, if you do this again, I... I will..."

"What will you do then?" Amelia asked with interest.

"I won't help you to clean up your office!"

After thinking about it, Audrey found that this was the only thing that could be used to threaten Amelia.

Upon hearing this, Amelia burst into laughter. She continued on laughing until she found it hard to catch her breath.

Audrey on the other hand was much more anxious. She even forgot the difference in status between her and Amelia. She said in a trembling voice, "If you make fun of me again, I will take your most precious tea leaves back for a bath!"

Ever since Amelia had seen Sawyer's villa, she was immune to all the other buildings and houses around her.

That was why even though Kaiden's residence was considered a grand place in Northville, Amelia was not attracted by it at all.

After paying for the ride, Amelia opened the door and got out of the car. At the same time, she dialled Kaiden's number.

The phone rang for a few seconds and it was connected. Amelia was thinking whether Kaiden had been waiting for her to contact him.

She went straight to the point. "Kaiden, I'm here. Are you at home now? Is it convenient for you to meet me? Oh, remember to bring my car key along with you."

"Heh..." there was a hint of laziness in Kaiden's voice. "Woman, you've finally contacted me, I thought you didn't want your car anymore?."

"How is it possible? I'm just a little busy these two days. So, are you free to come down?" Amelia asked again.

"I remembered giving you the password for my door," Kaiden said with some pragmatics hidden in his sentence.

"I'm in a hurry." Amelia declined politely.

Kaiden laughed weirdly and said, "So, you are in a hurry? Well, it's easy! You can go and deal with your stuff first. Then I will continue on keeping an eye on your car. We'll meet again when you really need your car. How about that?"

Amelia was speechless. She then took a deep breath and said, "I'll be there soon!"

After that, she ended the call herself.

She was afraid that if she had one more word with Kaiden, she would not be able to resist the impulse to kill someone.

Why was Kaiden still holding a grudge? Wasn't it just some misunderstanding last weekend? Was he really this mad?

Such a narrow-minded person really deserved to be single for the rest of his life!
