Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1087

Seeing Amelia was still teasing him, Milton was not angry. Instead, he felt a sense of warmth. He went along with her and shouted, "I said I was wrong. Please forgive me, Your Grace!"

Amelia snorted. For a moment, she thought that she had traveled back to her childhood with Milton. She could not help but play along with him. "Don't call me 'Your Grace,' call me 'Your Highness'!"

Milton rolled his eyes at Amelia while making a gesture of worship. "Yes, yes, yes, Your Highness!"

Amelia burst into laughter. She put down the 'loudspeaker' beside her ear and said with a smile, "Come on, I'm just joking with you. What happened at the door just now was really too much for you, wasn't it?

I apologize to you!"

Milton touched his red nose and muttered, "You didn't just hit me too hard. Didn't you pointed at my nose and scolded me after too?"

"Oh, I just want to wake you up because of your decadence." Amelia shirked her responsibility fast.

Milton put down his hand that was touching his nose and asked in a strange tone. "I have to thank you for what you've done to me in waking me up

then?"

Amelia laughed and did not answer. She patted her stomach and said, "I'm so hungry that my intestine is going to lash out. Shall we talk downstairs while eating? You know what, I bought a bottle of red wine as a welcome home gift for you on my way here! How is it? Are you interested?"

"Well..." Just as Milton lowered his head, his eyes suddenly fixed on Amelia's hand.

He was so surprised that he forgot to say anything for a while.

After a long while, he asked excitedly, "You...you've put on the bracelet I gave you?!"

"Ah," Amelia answered. She lowered her head and fiddled with the bracelet on her wrist. "You've already given it to me. There's no excuse for me not to wear it. You're really slow. I've been in here for so long, and now only you found out."

Milton stared at her bracelet. His eyes were full of affection that he could not show to the others.

He knew that the reason Amelia put on this bracelet was that they grew up together.

But even if he was clear, he still could not help but want to have wishful thinking.

Seeing Milton staring at the bracelet with a myriad of thoughts in his mind, Amelia could not help saying, "Well, to tell you the truth, I had told Patrick the origin of the bracelet. What do you think? Have I abide by the agreement between you and me?"

After a short moment of absent-mindedness, Milton asked, "Did you really told him?"

His tone was full of surprise, as well as a hint of disbelief.

Amelia said without hesitation, "Yeah. I told him that you gave it to me as a present."

Milton raised his eyebrows, and he was even more surprised. "He let you put it on?"

Pouting her lips, Amelia said, "There's nothing he can do even if he doesn't let me. This is my hand, unless... he chops it off, but I don't think he's willing to do that."

As she said the last words, she showed a happy smile, which made Milton stunned.

After a while, Milton said with a bitter smile, "It seems that he has begun to know how to respect you."

Amelia smiled dryly and said, "That's right. He has changed a lot for me. Well, let's not talk about him. Aunt Sierra had heated the dishes. Let's go downstairs quickly."

"Alright." Milton agreed.

When Amelia turned around, she frowned

A moment later, he put on an expression of being defeated. "You've almost guessed my moves. Can I still use them as an excuse to stay?"

"Since it's just an excuse, then you shouldn't use it," Amelia said sincerely after a pause. "Milton, I'm already glad that you're willing to help Apex. I'm willing to owe you a favor, but I don't want to owe Maryanne a favor. If Maryanne knew that the reason behind for her boyfriend's stay in Northville was to design an advertisement for another woman's company, what will she think?"

Milton's eyes darkened. "I would not tell her the

truth."

Amelia sighed. "It's okay that you're not telling Maryanne the truth, but will Aunt Sierra not tell the truth to her?"

Milton was silent.

Amelia had never agreed to let Milton stay because she did not want to become the second Sissi.

Whenever Sissi had something, she would trouble Amelia's husband first. If Amelia selfishly kept Milton for her private matter, it would imperceptibly cause harm to another woman even if they really had nothing!

Amelia hated Maryanne, but it did not mean that she could become a selfish woman like Sissi.

After a long period of silence, Milton looked back into Amelia's bright eyes and compromised reluctantly, "I'll listen to you, Amelia."

Amelia smiled with relief. "That's great!"

Milton's eyes fell on the kitchen table. He reached out to hold a plate of steak and a plate of scrambled eggs, then said, "Let's serve the dishes."

"Alright!" Amelia's eyes corner and eyebrows could not help but relax happily as she solved one of her worries.
