Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1088

Milton secretly stared at Amelia's high-spirited face. After looking at her for a while, Milton had an impulse to go back on his words.

When Amelia's beautiful eyes glanced at Milton unmindfully and asked him, "Didn't you wanted to help with the dishes? Why aren't you leaving?"

Milton was shocked by her innocent gaze and came back into his good mood. He mumbled, "Well...you can go first. I'll be behind you."

Amelia did not doubt him and said, "Okay." Then she walked to the table with the soup carefully.

In front of the dining table, when Sierra saw the two of them walking out one after another, she could not help but tease them. "Did both of you whisper to each other in the kitchen? You've made me wait for a long while."

Amelia and Milton looked at each other, and Milton said with embarrassment, "Mom, I've made you worried about me these days. I won't do it in the future. Can you forgive me this time?"

Sierra's mouth opened slightly. "What a silly kid," she said, feeling both touched and gratified. "Of course, I'll forgive you. Don't just stand there like a fool. Sit

down and let's eat."

After a pause, she looked at Amelia and said with a more amiable attitude, "Amelia, come sit next to me."

"Alright." Milton and Amelia agreed.

Dingdong...

While the three of them were having their dinner, they heard the doorbell ringing.

Milton raised his eyebrows slightly and looked at Sierra. "Mom, did you invite a guest?"

"No." Sierra shook her head. She also felt strange and said, "I knew Amelia would come tonight. Why would I invite others? Milton, did your friends know that you came back to Northville, so they came to visit you?"

"Maybe." Milton stood up from his seat after wiping his mouth with a tissue and said, "I'll open the door. You guys may continue with the food."

Amelia nodded without saying anything.

When Milton turned around, his calm face had a trace of pondering.

He had not told anyone except for Sierra and Amelia about his return to Northville. Who would come to visit him then?

As Milton having a thought about it, he came to the door. When he opened the door, his heart was racing, and his expression suddenly changed.

And when he was stunned, a beautiful woman who was standing outside was smiling at him. "Hi."

A few seconds later...

"What are you doing here?" Milton shouted because he was too shocked!

Hearing that, the woman outside the door just smiled at him.

Milton was frustrated by her smile.

His face turned livid with rage as he grabbed her tiny hand that was wearing gloves and walked outside quickly in the next second.

The beautiful woman, who had been pulled away, was stunned for a moment. She quickly reached out her other hand, which also wearing gloves, and grabbed Milton's stiff arms. She asked with grievances, "Milton, I have just arrived. Where are you taking me?"

Milton grabbed her hand without looking back and continued to move forward. "Go home!"

The pretty woman asked hurriedly, "Isn't this your home?"

Milton's voice was heavy. "I mean, go back to your home!"

Milton thought that this would be able to keep Maryanne out of the door. But he did not expect that she did not play by the rules at all. "Since Aunt Sierra is ill, I'll have to visit her. Don't worry. I'll leave after taking a look at her. It won't affect her rest at all. Is that okay, Milton?"

There was only begging tone in her words in the end...

Milton looked at her with a complex expression. He was well aware of Maryanne's arrogance and impudence, which was why he was surprised by the change in her.

In England, he saw Maryanne as a timid and lovable woman, and she could even be said to be a gentle and considerate woman.

However, no matter how she much of a positive change she had made, she still could not atone for the evil she had done!

Milton hated her, so it was only a matter of time before he left her. And the dependence and reluctance she showed at this moment were exactly what he wanted!

But why was he not happy when everything went according to his plan?

After all, was it because he was not the same kind of person as Maryanne? That was why he was unable to hurt her as she did when she hurt Amelia.

Just like at this moment, just a few words of concern for his mother from her, he could not help but feel softhearted, then an overwhelming sense of guilt towards Amelia.

He would always lower his head to look at Maryanne's hands hidden under the gloves whenever like this. Those evil hands reminded him of the fact that she had committed a crime!

He should not be so softhearted towards a woman like her who looked innocent but actually had a heart as vicious as Jezebel!

He should have continued according to his original plan...

That would be good enough for Amelia, who was the innocent victim!

"Milton, why do you need to consider for so long?" Maryanne dragged his arm and shook it gently. "I'll count to three. If you don't say anything, I'll take it as a yes. One, two, three! Yes! You agreed!"
