Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1110

Coming back to her senses, Amelia cried out frantically, "Patrick! You didn't give me a chance to take it at all!"

Patrick did not bother to deny either, "You're right. I purposely let go of my hand before you can take it!"

Amelia could not help but burst into tears, "You said that you're going to return to me!"

Patrick raised his hand and wiped away her tears gently as he muttered, "But it's still a prick to my heart. I can't help feeling annoyed whenever I think of the fact that it's going to be on your hand again somehow."

Amelia was already shaking anger when she growled, "Patrick, won't you be scared that I'm not going to forgive you ever again for what you've done?"

At the sight of her tears, Patrick knew very well that she was not crying for him but Milton.

"As I said before, the only thing that I regret of is hurting you. But I've already come out with a way to compensate for your loss."

"Humph! Do you really think that every loss can be compensated..."

Before she could finish her sentence, her jaw dropped at the sight of what Patrick was doing.

All she could hear was the sound of bone cracking.

Under her terrified gaze, he snapped and broke the middle finger of his right hand himself!

Amelia was completely dumbfounded. Staring at his fractured finger, Patrick said, "The pain that I'm undergoing now is nothing lesser than you have gone through..."

"You're such a mad person!" Amelia rushed over and cried out with her expression as pale as sheet, "Hurry! Show me your hand!"

Patrick dodged her hand before he asked, "Are you feeling sorry for me?"

Amelia could no longer control the streaming of her tears but she denied, "No, I don't..."

There was another sound of bone cracking.

He broke another finger without a doubt. This time it was his index finger that he broke...

Even at the sight of this, Amelia could not help feeling that her heart was pounding agitatedly as if it was going to pop out from her mouth at any seconds. She could not believe that Patrick was expressionless still.

Patrick asked again faintly, "Tell me now. Do you feel sorry to see me in pain?"

She was about to deny again when she noticed that he was going to break his thumb this time. She hurriedly said, "Yes, I do! It causes me a great deal of pain to see you like this!"

Her whimper was so loud that her voice was hoarse as she answered his question.

It was only then Patrick put down his hand and smiled at her, "I felt the same when I broke your wrist, but you wouldn't believe me. I can only let you feel how I felt so that you can finally understand my feeling."

"Why must you do this to yourself..." Amelia wanted to inspect his injured right hand but she was not sure which way she could do so without worsening his condition.

Smiling still, Patrick said, "Mrs. Hopper, take a look at what's under your feet now."

Amelia lowered down her gaze as she was told. It was only then she realized that she had already stepped on the bracelet gifted by Milton when she rushed over to check on Patrick.

Frowning, she glanced up and bawled, "You planned this, haven't you? From the second you took over the bracelet, you've been planning this! Patrick, you're such a j*rk!"

Patrick could not help feeling amused, "You're the one who are dead worried of me to the extent that you can't bother to think of anything else. If it were Milton who lied on the floor at this moment, I guess you're going to step over his face just to come and check on me."

"What a nonsense that you're talking about now! It's impossible!"

Patrick could tell from her reddened cheek that she was outrageous. However, he was also aware that the worry look on her face could not be any more genuine regardless of her denial. Hence, he chose to change the subject matter, "Mrs. Hopper, I don't think it's the right time to argue on this. There's something more urgent to deal with right now."

Amelia wiped away her tears and hushed, "You're right! Your hand needs to be treated right away! We shall goto hospital immediately!"

"Who should be the driver among the two of us?"

Amelia was stunned by Patrick's question.

While she had her wrist injured, Patrick was not in a condition any better than her with his two fractured fingers. Neither of them were fit for driving.

"I'll call Paisley to come over!" After helping Patrick to the couch, Amelia began to search for Paisley's number from her phone contact list. Meanwhile, she could not help sniffing.

At the sight of Amelia crying so hard for him, a

sense of joy began to creep on Patrick.

Milton must be heartbreaking to know that his gift had ended in this condition.

At this moment, she was glad that Milton had already returned to United Kingdom. Otherwise, it would be embarrassing for him to see that she was not wearing it anymore.

She glanced up in melancholy just to see from the reflection of the mirror that Patrick was already standing behind her.

She was taken aback by his presence as she asked, "Anything else?"

With that said, she closed the drawer where the jewelry box was kept.

At the sight of this, Patrick broke out in a sarcastic laughter secretly. Despite the fact that the bracelet had already broken into half, she did not throw it away just as he wished for. Instead, she still treasured it as much.

Blinking, in the next second he said pitifully, "Mrs.

Hopper, I'm in pain."

She had just fractured her wrist one day ago. There was no doubt that she understood the pain that he was going through at this moment. She said, "I know. But no one had asked you to do this to yourself."

Patrick lowered his gaze at the bandaged fingers before he smiled, "I did this to please you."

Amelia took a glance at her own reflection from the mirror. At the sight of her swollen eyes, she replied faintly, "To please me? Why don't I feel happy at all?"

Patrick stated earnestly, "That's because you feel sorry for my pain."

It was only then Amelia realized that Patrick had been playing the words with her.

Through the reflection from the mirror, she shot a glare at him. However, what she was not aware of was that her eyes were irresistibly attractive to Patrick that he could no longer withdraw his gaze from her.

At dinnertime.

Seeing that Patrick had to use his left hand to hold the cutleries just like her, Amelia could not help feeling amused. Even so, she could feel her heart aching more at the sight of this.

After all, there was completely no need for him to do this to himself.
