Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1109

Bearing in mind that Amelia would not turn him down in front of the elders, Patrick's kiss on Amelia was getting overbearing. When he finally had enough, he decided to let go of her.

Amelia gritted her teeth as she hissed, "Shameless you!"

Patrick smiled crookedly in reply, "This is only an appetizer for me. I don't mind having something more proper..."

Amelia held back the urge to give Patrick a forceful kick. She quickened her pace and walked next to Granny Hopper, gesturing that she would not walk with him ever again.

Granny Hopper held her hand and said smilingly, "Darling, you don't have to be shy!"

It was as if Amelia had been electrocuted by a strong and powerful current all in a sudden. She would never expect that Granny Hopper to hold her injured hand!

Amelia struggled to contain herself from moaning in pain. She plastered a smile on her face before she said, "Granny, do you mind letting go of my hand first?"

Granny Hopper let go of her hand at her request. She baffled, "What's wrong?"

Amelia heaved a sigh of relief and came to the right hand side of Granny Hopper. Forcing a smile, she explained, "I'm used to walk on right hand side."

While saying, Amelia reached out with her uninjured left hand to hold Granny Hopper.

Her explanation did not raise any suspicion from Granny Hopper.

On the other hand, Patrick too had already caught up with the remaining of them who were much ahead. Just as he was about to quicken his pace and catch up with Amelia, Gramps Hopper stopped him with his walking stick, "What are you rushing for?"

Patrick said gruffly, "I want to accompany my wife!"

Gramps Hopper could not help comparing, "Who's more important to you, your wife or me?"

"Gramps, I think you haven't gotten this clear enough. You're the last person in this family that I care about."

Gramps Hopper was successfully being provoked as he roared, "B*stard!"

Patrick fired back fearlessly, "Do you have anything else? Or else don't stop me from going after my wife!" "You only think of your wife! Patrick, since when have you become such a sissy?!" "You have granny accompanying you all the time too, haven't you?"

"How can you compare yourself with me? I came this far before I met your granny. Your granny and I, we've spent decades together and she had never once gotten me into any trouble. This fact alone is enough to prove that I have such a good taste in choosing my life partner!

As for you, the first woman that you fell for was someone who brought the worst out of you. Having this in mind, am I wrong to call you a sissy?

Now that you're falling hard for Amelia. Let's think about this. What if she were to hurt you in the future..."

"That's not going to happen!" Patrick cut him short ruthlessly. "How can you even compare Amelia with Sissi?"

Gramps Hopper glanced at Patrick with great interest, "So are you saying that Sissi is incomparable to Amelia?"

Patrick furrowed. He could not believe that he had blurted out the sentence that he was not supposed to say, at least not in front of Gramps Hopper.

Gramps Hopper huffed, "Or are you saying that Amelia is incomparable to Sissi?"

Patrick blurted out again, "This is not what I meant!"

Upon hearing this, Gramps Hopper burst out into a laughter. Through playing with words, he had managed to trick Patrick into speaking his heart!

Amelia could not tell the brand of the car from its outlook. All she knew was that it was a limo.

After getting into the car, Amelia first greeted everyone inside before her gaze fell onto Eve.

It just so happened that Eve was sitting right opposite her.

Not hoping for any response from Eve, she greeted, "Mom."

To her surprise, the corner of Eve's mouth twitched as she murmured, "Hmm."

Amelia could not help but wonder if she had misheard. In the midst of confusion, at the same time, she caught Granny Hopper blinking at her.

Amelia began to convince that it was

Granny Hopper who had a conversation with Eve before they came here. Otherwise, there was no way that Eve would suppress her grudge against her.

Amelia barely survived the breakfast session with The Hopper Family. She toasted a drink at Eve on the table in between the breakfast.

Under the gaze of Granny Hopper, Eve had no other choice but to drink a toast from her. This signified that both of them had to turn the page from where they left of the conflicts.

Seeing that Amelia had stopped walking, Patrick could not help but ask curiously, "Why aren't you walking?"

Amelia shoved his hand away from her waist before she turned around and asked, "Stop playing dumb!

Where's the bracelet that I left on the couch?"

Patrick looked at her in her eyes meaningfully before he threw the question back at her, "So you finally remember it?"

Amelia did not know what to say at this moment.

Patrick took a glance at his watch and added, "It takes you two and a half hours to realize."

Amelia was startled at his words.

Patrick reached out to the bracelet in his pocket before handed it to her cheerfully, "There you go."

Staring at the bracelet in his hand, Amelia baffled, "Why are you returning it to me now after you got it?"

"It turns out that I have overestimated Milton's place in your heart. After all, you only remembered the gift from him after you saw the couch, didn't you?"

Amelia began to evaluate his words.

It seemed like his words did make sense to her.

Amelia had to look away in embarrassment.

Holding it in his hand still, Patrick began to lure her, "Isn't this a precious piece to you? Why are you hesitating?"

Upon hearing this, Amelia could not help feeling ashamed of herself.

In a hurry, she reached out to take over the bracelet. To her surprise, before she could even reach it, Patrick released his hand which resulted in the bracelet falling onto the ground!

There was already a crack on the bracelet caused by Milton. As soon as it came into contact with the floor, it broke into half from the original crack of it!
