After staring at her with deep affection for a while, the man moved his eyes to glance at the door and moved his thin lips. "Abner, come in."
Abner heard his father's call and hurriedly walked into the room.
Unusually, Sawyer personally carried Abner onto the bedside and settled him down. Then, he once again looked sideways at the woman on the bed.
Abner turned his blank little face to follow Sawyer's gaze, only to see an aunt whom he had never met before lying on the bed.
Abner blinked his eyes. He was not interested so he put his eyes back on Sawyer as to question in silence.
Sawyer asked, "Abner, do you know who she is?"
Abner hesitated a little. Sawyer was clearly speaking to him but his eyes were focused on that woman.
Seeing that Abner did not respond, Sawyer finally glanced at him. "Are you also lazy to speak to your dad now?"
Abner, who had once again gained Sawyer's attention, was delighted and replied obediently, "I...don't know...who she is."
Sawyer's gaze softened. "She's an indispensable person in the lives of you and me. I'll have her to accompany you in the future, okay?"
Abner refuted, "No... I want Amelia..."
"Are you that attached to Amelia?" Sawyer's expression turned a little cold.
Abner saw it that he moved his hip backwards in slight fear.
"Don't you like her?" After seeing Abner's reaction, Sawyer's changed to let out a light sigh, "This shall be retribution. She also had a big part in causing your character to become like this."
Hearing that, Abner's eyes that were as big as grapes flashed with confusion. "Dad... Who is she?"
Sawyer did not give an answer. He only focused his attention on the woman that was sunk in sleep, as if Abner did not exist.
Sunday, at The Ramsay's.
Under the risk of the contract being breached one-sidedly, Amelia did not go to the Streams Villa.
Her not going it did not mean that those in the Streams Villa could not come over.
Hearing the doorbell ringing, Amelia opened the door and saw Abner, who was dressed in uniform with a small school bag on his back, standing at the door with sleepy eyes. Amelia was shocked by this scene.
On the top of her head, there was sound of helicopter which was strange at the moment.
After the confusion, Amelia asked, 'Abner, who sent you here?"
Abner replied softly, "My uncle."
Uncle?
Amelia narrowed her eyes and asked, "Is it Kaiden?"
Abner nodded slowly.
"Where is he?" Amelia clenched her fists with an unkind look on her face.
Abner pointed to the sky.
Amelia was stunned and looked up to the sky, only to see that the helicopter had already flown far away.
"He should be glad that he had left fast!" Amelia unclenched her fist and lowered her head to look at Abner.
Abner was innocent, but he was Sissi's son after all!
Sissi definitely had indirect liability in causing her to be in such dilemma.
In this case, how could she be close to Sissi's son?
Amelia's eyes turned cold. She was about to close the door but she heard the voice of Alice behind her. "Amelia, whose kid is that standing at the door?"
Amelia twitched the corner of her mouth. Just as she wanted to say that she did not know him, Abner called her clearly, "Mommy!"
The anger in Amelia's eyes weakened. Abner was probably very confused as well. Why did her attitude towards him change so suddenly? Just before the previous moment, she even wanted to leave him outside and ignore him.
When she calmed down, she suddenly felt a chill down her spine.
The reason why Abner showed up here was obviously because Sawyer knew her actions and her mind clearly. He knew that she would not go to the Streams Villa today, so he sent Abner to her door.
However, Sawyer might be overconfident. Was he not afraid that she would do harm to Abner out of her hatred towards him?
Under Amelia's unexplainable gaze, Abner quietly took off his sneakers as well as his schoolbag, and sat on the ground.
"Abner, get up. It's cold on the ground!" When she blurted out her concern as how she used to, she looked as if she had just eaten a fly.
Abner sat still, "It's... comfortable on the ground..."
Amelia knew that Abner had always been used to sitting on the ground, because he could place toys, textbooks, and food at will.
But Savannah who was considerate would always put a layer of carpet on the ground in advance so
that Abner would not feel cold.
After meeting Abner's innocent pupils, Amelia could no longer stand it so she quickly went to the storage room and brought out a quilt. After spreading it in the living room, she looked at Abner.
Abner understood her meaning and quickly changed his seat. He sat on the prepared quilt. Later, not knowing whether he was too comfortable or too sleepy, he tilted his head backwards and fell asleep.
It became silent on the scene.
At 12 o'clock at noon.
Abner, who had woken up, had a moment of panic as he was in an unfamiliar environment.
But he soon realized that he was at Amelia's home where his uncle personally sent him over.
On the other side, Amelia came out of the kitchen with food. When she saw that Abner was awake, she casually put the food down.
